Well, here we are. I'm really not sure how a three-way chat with Zombie and MetalAlien (the first invites before things really started moving) turns into this, lol.

I don't need to recount the whole story. You know it, you've lived it, I've told it a billion times before ?, and you've worked hard to make it happen. But this is the finish line.

Be proud that we all made it here. Not that you need me to tell you that, but you should be. You told a would-be tyrant that pretended to be something he wasn't for three years, to fuck off, the second he reverted to his true nature. You ended up building an awesome Discord. Then you built an awesome forum.

Nobody here was especially qualified, or had ever really done these things to this scale before. This is the power of heart, belief in an end vision, and perseverance.

Now? We get to enjoy everything we worked so hard on. Get out there and enjoy the utter freedom (within reason, we have a TOS now, lol) of a brand new board just for you, and others who appreciate the value of expressing yourself. No tyrants. No poisonous ideologies. Just fun and interesting things. Go have a blast.

Hm. Being totally honest here, like I usually am, many forums (and other things in life) start with amazing promises and great things, then sadly wither with time. I hope this one lasts longer.

I just want to hang out with the people I have grown to despise so much over the years (e.g @Stouffers ) , and that wasn't possible on the other site anymore because everybody got purged into oblivion.

Once more after thinking a bit about it, I feel you are mistaking this situation we have here with what Era tried to be in the beginning. Everybody was like "AAaaaaaw, we are so nice and respectful and happy here now" back then after leaving GAF because of that shower goblin shit that went down.
As we all know, Era went into being a purple haired "female dick"-tator shithole soon, though.

On the contrary, all we wanted was keeping the status quo at GAF, and since that wasn't possible anymore this place exists now with almost all of the people who made GAF the cool place it was over the last few years until the January 6th aftermath purge.

So, really, no promises for a cute and flowery new beginning here. No one promises you a rose garden.
We are just we.
