I mean seriosly Gabe stop being an asshole.

I am resigned to the fact that there will never be a left 4 dead 3 and its for the better you cant capture that magic in todays gaming landscape.

So just re release L4D2 on next gen. Let it run at 4K with some better textures. The game already looked pretty damn good in 2009.

Back4Blood was a bust. I still play it and like it for what it is but its not left 4 dead.

They could sell a few million copies for little effort. Its already on the Xbox just beef that version up.and port it to PS5.

God damn L4D2 was such a great game.

You don't really have "next gen systems" in the PC environment. It's all one continuous generation. It's running Source, isn't it? It should be moddable. If there isn't an HD mod for it, there probably isn't the demand.

I played the first a ton but didn't bother much with the second.

Second is way better than the first. And the second includes the first anyways. So L4D2 has all.the maps weapons and charctes from 1 and includes all the new weapons and specials from 2. Basically 2 is what 1 should have been

Gabe is too busy with his racoon 👀 (Google if you're mildly curious, but be warned)

The Xbox 360 versions runs at 4k on the series X, but the game looks so rough now imo, hell it looks almost untextured at times 💀

Valve is the only company I've completely lost respect for. When they decided to stop being a game company, that was it for me. Too busy swimming in that Steam money to make any game with a damn "3" in it.

Second was better and a good iteration than the first.

Also the community maps are pretty awesome. There are a number of fleshed out maps with poster art that feel as good as any official valve map. The one with a sort of puzzle as you try and traverse a mall, cribbing from Day of the Dead remake and Cold Mountain.

There are more but the community did a great job expanding the gameplay.

Unfortunately for me i have an old.ass desktop so it doesnt run great for me. Thats why i want a pa5 version.

I wouldn't bet on it. Valve hasn't made a console game since Portal 2. They are fully invested in their PC infrastructure and hardware like Steam Deck.

That desktop must be really old to not run a game from 2009. It should run on toasters. I'd imagine even Chrome must have higher system requirements at this point.

Great strategy to increase demand is to lower supply amirite? And supply of Valve games is damn low, so they totally win on the demand front!

Now imagine they'd want to actually sell games. Shit would be crazy.

Valve is really not a game making company anymore and it hasn't been for a very long time. Not sure why people expect them to.

And don't forget, they single handedly saved the PC Gaming space, both with their fantastic games and of course with Steam.

Valve should shadow drop Episode 3, then reveal the Steam Deck 2 with Half-Life 3, Portal 3, Team Fortress 3 and Left 4 Dead 3 as its launch titles.

Also bring back Artifact but with the best card game mechanics and support, not the garbage ones and lack of support, also make an actual Witcher Trilogy/Baldur's Gate scale RPG Trilogy using its setting and premise.
