Thread: Underrated Games?
Some good RTSs from my teenage years:

If you can look past the archaic 3D, both of these have a lot to offer. For a minute they were pretty well known among PC gamers but they're both from those awkward pre-Steam years so they are mostly forgotten.

Another fun one:

Pretty simple hybrid of Battlezone tank combat and light RTS mechanics. If you liked Bullfrog's Magic Carpet (another underrated gem) you might like this.

The retail release (remember those?) came with a plastic keyboard cover for the F keys to show you some of the useful shortcuts. Not an amazing game, but very ambitious and interesting for a late 90s release.

Might as well link Magic Carpet too.

Two more underrated favorites of mine from the same dev:

One of my favorite games. Dreamcast Echo
The Dolphin combined with Journey. It's a relaxing aquarium and a fun weekend playthrough if you wanna enjoy the story. Ive replayed it…. A lot. Wonderful game full of beautiful levels start to finish.

At a fundamental level, this game is about traversal, flow, and enjoying the feel of the game. It slowly unfolds as you unlock more areas and ends up being epic. I feel as though this game was lost in the generational transition from
PS4 -> PS5 and is mostly forgotten. Zen exploration.

I'm still annoyed we didn't get a sequel...
