If you want to do a proper "powerful female" cartoon, the perfect solution is a full adaptation of Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.

The original movie is technically an adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Miyazaki himself (probably one of the best manga out there), but the movie only covers around 2 of the 7 volumes.

It's about a woman with a good heart, with agency, and responsibility. Someone who's not afraid to get violent if necessary, but hopeful for peace. Who can make friends with her enemies if possible.

She's not a vain, monstrous, propagandistic self-insert with no merit in the realm of actually telling a story:

Eh. Never going to happen without Miyazaki's approval. And I'd imagine he'll want to direct it himself, but he always struck me as a filmmaker who doesn't like revisiting old material. Hence why every new animated film he does has a new story and setting. Nausicaa for him is done after he finished the manga's final chapter in 1994. And I'd hardly think he'd want to go back to making TV animation after directing animated films for so long.

I actually hated the movie because it diverged so much from the manga. They had to change a lot to be able to wrap up the story in a movie.

Not only that Disney is in the process of bleeding talent from every division they have and cancelling project after project with only 1 season done.

I used to consider Disney the single American stock that would never fail but they're in serious trouble and it has nothing to do with Covid.

They've priced normal folks out of their theme parks, they've switched from traditional story telling with Marvel to virtue signaling with every movie requiring a cast more of females and minorities. I'm all for diversity when it works.

IMO Disney has been held hostage to China as far back is Iron Man 3 when they refused to focus on the Mandarin which is far away the Joker-character of the Iron Man franchise. Now they're deep in politics with gay rights and BLM to the point it's infested their projects and not for the better.

If you wanna see white males in Disney anymore look to the antagonist/villain

I want a reputable source bro, not a Redditor / some Hills Have Eyes circus tier posters on rando sites. If Nintendo or any of their employees credit the artwork in BOTW to be inspired from Studio Homo then I'll at least hand them that for their aesthetic, but to me they do not look anything alike nor have I ever made the connection that they could be similar
