Utd ruled it for years

Yeah but the league is less competitive now than ever. We've got teams staying up on 29 points whilst your boys run rampant on 90+ points most seasons.

Obviously what City have done is unmatched, it's one of the best teams ever assembled, but I just don't want to see the whole league end up like Ligue 1 or La Liga. We need multiple strong teams competing for the league title.

Not just City ft. A competitor every season.

I totally agree mate

I think the league is in a good place for a few teams to have a resurgence though. Arsenal looking strong, my beloved might finally start getting their shit together with Sir Jim, Chelsea are finally starting to cook, Villa, Newcastle, Spurs are all on a good trajectory. Liverpool are an unknown from next season onwards.

Hopefully we can see multiple strong English teams fighting on all fronts.

This season obviously isn't over yet, but I don't see West Ham spoiling your party given they have nothing to play for. My brother who is a gooner is praying for your downfall 😂

Funniest ending to the season would be City lose to West Ham, but Arsenal can only draw with Everton.

Arsenal bottling it once again would be so good.

I wouldn't say they've bottled it this time. They've won every game in the league this year, only losing to Villa at home (admittedly bad) and drawing away at CITEH (not so bad).

End of season preview with Arsenal celebrating with their trophy for only losing a few games.

I was more meaning them potentially being put in a position to win it if City somehow don't get a result against West Ham and they fuck it up by losing to Everton.

That being said, Arsenal spent a good chunk of this season on top with the title being theirs to lose. And then they fucked it. Again. The time they spent on top maybe wasn't as long as it was last season. But they were absolutely in the driver's seat to win the title and couldn't see it out. It's football and these things happen. But Arsenal now having a reputation for it makes it funny.

Like I said earlier in the thread, I love Arsenal's inability to seal the deal. No major hardware in 20+ years despite always being "right there" and "on the doorstep". This is why, even though I'm thoroughly sick of Man City, I prefer Man City over Arsenal. Arsenal embracing their role as the Dallas Cowboys of the EPL pleases me greatly (and of course I don't mean the 90s Dallas Cowboys, I mean the Dallas Cowboys ever since of always having juggernaut teams and always pissing it away and going one and done in the playoffs). Plus I have a good friend that is an Arsenal fan and it's fun taking the piss out of him every time they fall short.

If reports in guardian are true then jesus what a shit show before biggest game of utds season.

Regardless of whether or not he should go, it's incredibly poor timing for that news to come out. It's just like the news that van Gaal would be getting sacked leaked right as United won the FA Cup.

Doesn't surprise me that the club are once again shitting the bed with stuff like this. Though I am reluctant to believe it given it seems only the Guardian are the ones publishing anything to do with it, the mere fact United could only give a "no comment" the day before the final is absolutely ridiculous.

Embarrassment of a club.
