Really dig the quasi cell shaded art. Supposedly 2024 for PC/PS5/Xbox.

Dude, the art style looks incredible. Wouldn't mind a Berserk game looking like this.

Looks like a souls-like. Hopefully it can at least live up to Lies of P's worldbuilding and also not hold back on difficulty. It's got the freaking art style and presentation in the bag.

EDIT: Extended trailer with what looks like better bitrate. Or perhaps it's the PC version?

As someone who knows fuck all about Beserk, I thought this was associated somehow.

I played through some of the beta yesterday after seeing J-Roderton mention it. First impressions are positive so far and providing they fix a few issues, I'll probably buy it.

Combat is decent and the difficulty doesn't seem too bad at this point.

I unlocked the frame rate and was getting about 165 FPS but some hitches and stutters were present

The default control scheme is a bit retarded.

Graphics look good to me but I'm not a pixel peeper.

Story seems interesting from the little I played.

It's shaping up to be a solid souls like. I'll be keeping an eye on it for sure.

165 fps but stutters?

Oh no, not one of those again.

Yeah, that was max settings on a 4070ti. I also encountered some weird glitches where it looked like dozens of frames of character animation vanished, making it seem like an enemy teleported slightly. Not sure how long until final release but I hope these things are dealt with because the game seems promising.

What's the combat like? More Sekiro or Bloodborne, or something else?

Havent played Sekiro and no more than 10 min or so of bloodbourne.

It's definitely souls though. No jumping. You can block but not sure if you get any shields. You can dodge/dash but not roll. Other than that hack away. You can sort of stun enemies that opens them up for a stronger hit, though.

Played it a bit on Steam. I love the visual style, gorgeous game! Seems interesting and fun so far.

BUUUUUUUUUT

It's a fucking Unreal Engine game. Don't use DX12, it causes constant stutters. Better with DX11, but it's still not smooth. Micro stutters and frame pacing issues, even when I have locked 60fps.

That graph isn't straight, there are all these little stutters. Devs definitely need to work on that.
