Thread: The Callisto Protocol - Official Gameplay Reveal Trailer (Update: Hands-On Previews)
That trailer exceeded my expectations. Amazing visuals, great atmosphere, impactful gore, very good art style.

This is my most anticipated game at the moment. Who would've thought.

A new team under a new publisher can often be a bad sign, and that PUBG universe thing sounded weird.

But it seems like they take this project very seriously on its own, not enforcing the PUBG stuff, actually not going down that path, putting in enough resources.

Very pleasantly surprised!

They have them close to the baby diapers.

But thanks for the tip!

Huh? Dead Space isn't that scary and I don't think this will be much different. They're like action horror equally.
I'm the type who doesn't flinch at the idea of another person coming at me with a weapon, but 'monster' movies and videogames give me a strong visceral reaction. Real-world opponent, no prob; made-up monsters, gtfo. Go figure.

Not sure if you boys saw this
The creators of Dead Space have a new sci-fi horror game coming later this year, The Callisto Protocol, that was at one point connected to the fiction of PUBG (née PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds). But that's no longer the case, says Glen Schofield, founder and CEO of developer Striking Distance Studios. According to a tweet from Schofield, his studio's new game is now "its own story and world."

  • This tbh
Reactions: regawdless
Yeah, initially trying to tie it to PUBG was pretty dumb and had more of a chance to hurt it, than help. Now if they kept it secret and loosely tied it to PG's universe somehow subtly it would have been totally fine.

You had me at "Dead Space Creator".

I'll be there with bells on.

Dead Space 1 was the first (and last) game in recent memory to actually scare me (Alien: Isolation also). Not to mention the amazing twist near the end. No surprise it had a lot of the System Shock team on-board.

DS2 was like Aliens to Alien... and DS3 was definitely Alien 3 quality comparatively, lol.
