So many outfits to unlock, it's insane

In BG3 there is full nudity and players can have sex with a bear or demon. Meanwhile cleavage here get censored.

I've played over 100 hours in BG3 and I just figured out the other day that you can take the character's underwear off and they'll be nude. I'm currently playing a dragon born, and yeah, he has a dragon lizard dick.

The censorship saga is so confusing. People show evidence, then people show counter evidence, the fuck is going on lol

So far so good.
I'm still early on, but I can see the combat getting crazy. Feeling good.

SHIFTUP going to lose a lot of good will they built up for the game if they don't fix this problem.

I don't think they have a choice. They had to take money from Sony to help make the game and get the big marketing push. At this point it is probably a case of Sony told them to do something so they had to do it.

Man it's so sad. Why. They even censored the gore. They had a 100% win on their hands but HAD to fuck around with it.

The fight back

Best way to fight back is to not buy games for a year or two.

This feels like a shit test. Media couldn't cancel the game so they latched on to "Hard R". That didn't work, so they went through their corporate back-channels to make them bend the knee. Now they've apparently censored some things, although some of the reports seem to be conflicting. Either way, there is a lot of cultural warfare surrounding this one little game.

Can't help but feel that the fans who supported the no-compromise attitude of the game are now being asked to compromise. "Well it's mostly not affected by corporate woke Sony".

It's so weird and strange. They have stuff like the skin suit that's untouched but they had to change some other ones. I guess the skin suit made such an impact that it became untouchable.

I want to know what kinds of conversations happened backstage. Such stupid last minute changes seem like some sort of power move.

Well, glad I didn't buy the game yet.

Hopefully Sony doesn't print new discs and it's the 1.0 version forever lol

Just don't update

It's pretty fucked but also, not that big of a deal, there's more than enough thirst in the game. If it launched in this "censored" state without us knowing, we wouldn't mind at all. Just... Such a sour taste now.

What really sucks about it is that the changes are pretty minor, but the principle behind what led to the changes is not minor at all.

So it's not like a situation where someone's complaining because there's 1 inch less skin showing around her pelvis now, it's that we can get all the way to a game going gold, preorders going in, the game shipping to you, and the day before it arrives on your doorstep, Sony has gone in and censored the product before you were even able to see what it looked like before the censoring. That's just going too damn far.
