PlayStation has been sued in the Netherlands in a class action lawsuit over the high prices of digital games and in-game content.

With Epic's win over Apple, this might not be as doomed as it sounds. I agree that selling the Pro with no disc drive and the pricing on the store which is ridiculously high compared to physical pricing is anti-consumer.

I didn't know that PS Store pricing was so high. I guess they saw that Nintendo could get away with it on their store, so Sony tried it on theirs too. This is probably one of the reasons why the Playstation 5 era profits are so high. There weren't digital stores back in the PS1-2 eras.

Its interesting. Its not like consoles are been subsidised any more and online is an additional reoccuring payment, so the old arguments kind of fall flat.

I haven't used my PS5 in a while, but I would routinely see digital copies of games sold on PSN for 20-40% more than they could be found physically. It's one of the reasons I refuse to go digital with Sony. Unlike Steam, all Sony wants to do is fuck you in the butt.

I hope they get shafted for this.
