Thread: Scented candle appreciation thread
I like the apple cinnamon candles. The pumpkin pie candles are not bad either.
These ones always remind me of winter and festive holidays. The scent alone manages to set the stage for everything, decorations don't even have to be there pretty much cuz the candle does all the heavy lifting now that I really ponder things… Never gave it much thought until now, but I suppose scents, aromas, and fragrances are more powerful than we give them credit for

These candles at Hobby Lobby are my jam. I'll wear my dude card as I confess that a hot bath with nothing but a candle in the dark and a ton of epsom salt in the bath is the best medecine I've had for the aches and pains I develop working.

I started having candles, but then my PC's dust filter started picking up black dust rather than the usual grey.

I stopped burning candles.

But I do love candle light. Any fire, really.

So the question is:

Why are some of you pussies afraid of fire?

Candle light flicker without the $$$ cost of candles: Kerosine oil lamp

You can still buy them. Even get it in the old school miner lamp looking style if you want to man it up. The light flicker is really nice for late night chill, be it reading or gaming.

I had to put a new candle ban in my house. She can get new candles when we finish old candles.

That said, they are effective at covering up lingering shit diapers smells.

I always fire one up when I'm gaming in the man cave. Rocking Apple Pumpkin right now in that room. In the office, it's Coconut Saffron. Apple, pumpkin, vanilla, and coconut are my go-to "chick" scents. Rando scents are teakwood and weathered wood. I'm still trying to find some decent manly scents though. Tried ordering some ones that smell like genuine leather and they're pretty underwhelming and not what I expected. When I think of candles for guys, I think of woodsy scents (cedarwood and sandalwood), cologne, tobacco, leather, and bourbon. Kinda tough finding ones in that category that are both decent and not underwhelming or overpowered.

I prefer very warm smells like vanillas and some of the baked goods (a lot are a little too fake smelling), but I also like some of the more floral smells like rose and jasmine

I loved baked goods/vanilla candles but it also depends on the source. If I'm cheaping out and getting dollar store candles then the only ones there that don't give me a headache are the baked goods ones. When it comes to floral scents it's rare for me to find one that a) smells like the actual thing it's supposed to & b) doesn't give me an instant migraine.

My fave scent though is a sort of maple-walnut, because it's the main candle smell I had in my bedroom when I was a teen & it's got major nostalgia feels for me.

@ogrebushi complains vociferously about scented candle smells but if I don't light them or use the essential oil diffuser our place is not pleasant to be in, so he can STFU.

Not so much into candles but was bought a diffuser a while back and you can't go wrong with a bit of sandalwood or cinnamon tbh.

The leather scented ones I've tried so far don't come off all that leathery or manly. The bourbon ones don't smell like bourbon yet don't smell bad. Sandalwood and cedarwood are the only two that smell like the actual thing the candle is named after.

I present: dragon pussy candles.

YOU'RE A KNIGHT FROM THE KINGDOM OF CUMALOT AND YOU'RE ON A QUEST TO SLAY A DRAGON. YOUR LITTLE DICK GETS EVEN SMALLER AS YOU APPROACH ITS CAVE. YOUVE HEARD DRAGONS BREATHE FIRE, BUT THAT HEAT YOU FEEL ON YOUR FACE IS COMING FROM HER SOUTH MOUTH. THIS DRAGON HASNT BEEN FUCKED IN HUNDREDS OF YEARS AND SHES LOOKING AT YOU LIKE A BIG, SHINY DILDO. YOU FIGHT AGAINST THE RAGING GUSTS TO MOVE CLOSER, AS SHE BLASTS YOU WITH POWERFUL DRAGON QUEEFS. WHEN YOU GET CLOSE ENOUGH, YOU STRIKE HER DIRECTLY IN THE BEAN WITH YOUR LANCE. YOU THINK THAT WOULD BE ENOUGH, BUT THEN SHE JUST KIND OF LAYS BACK, AND YOU SPEND THE NEXT HOUR SPANKING HER SCALEY HOLE. WHEN SHE FINALLY BUSTS, ITS LIKE YOURE SITTING FRONT ROW ON SPLASH MOUNTAIN DURING A HURRICANE. YOU RIDE A WAVE OF BOILING HOT DRAGON SQUIRT ALL THE WAY DOWN THE MOUNTAIN, AS ALL THE TOWNS PEOPLE CHEER YOU ON.
