Thread: Saints Row (2022) Review Thread
I spent the weekend playing the remastered version of Saints Row: The Third.

IV is even better

I've never played a single Saints Row game. To me, they always looked like a poor man's GTA, and this new iteration looks like that but extra shitty too. It seems sad to me that in a year so sparse with new content, this is one of the few "new" games to come out.

"Who was this made for?"

Well...clearly just @TaySan lol
A shame a lot of people are going to gloss over a great game due to a bumpy launch. Completed the game + all the ventures and i had a good time. Outside of a few ventures most of the side content was fun and didn't overstay its welcome. And the LARP missions were hilarious

Patiently waiting for the expansions. :D

DX12. From what i read on ERA Ray Tracing only works on DX12. Performance was fine outside of a few dips here and there
Not really happy with my DX12 performance. Probably 2070S isn't enough anymore. I'll check out other modes.

Vulkan works great and then after about 30 minutes of gameplay starts to slow down. What a weird game. I'll wait for more patches to come. Game itself is okay I think.

so who is gonna be the first one the giveaway thi shit for free until the end of this year? amazon prime gaming or epic games?

take your bet.

i know avengers is also long due but squareenix still have money to bleed.

Must be it. The game that is widely regarded as being shit is actually good.
If everybody says it shit, why dig out some 200 views reviews where some douche sighs and shits on a game. If he could offer some different perspective that would be interesting.

You mean if both of them lied and said they thought it was good that would be interesting?

Also, both reviews were posted today, genius.

On sale with Gold on X Box for $44.99 this week. That's gotta be a new record from release date to sale. Released on August 23rd, already discounted on September 26th.

Bet this is advertised for $10 in Black Friday ads and they still won't sell out lol

Saints Row developer Volition has announced plans to release the game's first major update in November.

The studio said in a blog post that while it had hoped to be talking about releasing fresh content for the game at this stage, its "development priority is delivering improvements over new features" following a disappointing launch.

The update will have a big focus on challenges, overall stability and co-op.

"We're especially aware of issues some players have been having with co-op and we're sorry these fixes have taken longer than expected while we apply and test them thoroughly," Volition wrote.

"Separately, we know that the game doesn't always clearly explain how and when co-op is possible, so we are working on this too."

Volition claimed the update will also include a number of quality-of-life improvements including reduced repetition in some activities, more rewarding challenges, improved vehicle management, and a revamp of rumble and haptic features.

The studio is releasing the first in a series of free cosmetic packs this week, with several additional packs set to be given to Expansion Pass owners at no extra cost.

Saints Row 3 was fun. Saints Row 4 was gloriously daft (dubstep gun ftw).

They really shouldn't have attempted this reboot with that name.
