Thread: RoboCop: Rogue City - Part Man, Part Machine trailer (November 2, 2023)
Did Teyon also do Terminator Resistance? That's a game I really enjoyed, if so, this is easily a day one purchase. Fleshing the game out with the more detective elements is a fun angle I didn't expect them to lean into and I am glad they have.

Solid game, criminally underrated if anything. Their love for these 80s franchises really shows and if they can have the same attention to detail as they have already shown in Terminator, I think we are in for a treat.
I agree. I loved Terminator Resistance. Played through it twice, once on X Box then the PS5 version. I always recommend it to anyone that was a fan of the movie. These guys "get" the movies they're making games based off of.

It would have been cool if it went super gory. Like a modern day Soldier of Fortune. Robocop just bursting shots that tear limbs off, mohawk punks screaming in agony as they crawl around, shit like that.

It fits the movies well and would be a fun tonal thing where this justice bot is going around treating criminal scum in the most inhumane way as people cheer him on.

Google and IGN say it's an Unreal Engine 5 game. But Google has been wrong many times, it also said Callisto Protocol was UE5 but it was UE4.

Concerned about another #StutterStruggle here.

ChatGPT is not sure, either.

As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, no official information has been released regarding the game "RoboCop: Rogue City." Therefore, I cannot provide specific details about the engine being used for the game. Game development studios typically choose an engine based on their specific requirements, so it's best to refer to official announcements or news from the game's developer or publisher for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Eh. It does look like a budget title, but it's remarkably true to the IP and it doesn't hurt to have Peter Weller voicing the role again. If the gameplay is solid plus the choice and consequences are interesting then that's all I need in a Robocop game.

I can't tell if they made a great trailer or if they're making a great game. They're really hitting all the nostalgic elements of the movie but it's hard to tell if this will be satisfying to play. I'm still interested, though.

Uff. So gameplay is fun, love the way the enemies react to getting hit, the gore, the feeling.

But the game is ROUGH. Like, textures needing a long time to load in directly at the start, with the ground being muddy. Then the frame pacing is all over the place, performance as well with fucked up stutters. Game feels like shit to play on PC.

Hope they'll fix the performance fuckery until launch but given it's UE4 and it's so close to launch, highly doubt it.

And bruh, nearly 50gb for a demo.

This is looking like a fun Nostalgia romp.

The acting is soooo bad. It's perfect.

But Why is Murphy almost taller than robocop? Robocop looks too small.

"Drop it scum" oh the delivery

Didn't even realise they were going to attempt it.

With Switch 2 coming n the horizon, cancelling it is a good idea though. Perhaps they can get a Switch 2 port ready for the launch window.
