So i'm here deep in the work from home routine, i have watched a shit load of movies (in the back ground), youtube, podcasts etc.

Can someone recommend me something good to watch/listen to? Not so much an a-lister block buster but maybe something smaller and less known?

Last movie i watched was a rewatch of The King which i really enjoyed. Last thing i listened to was Dan Carlins Supernova in the East.

Detectorists.

Very dry, slow, weird British comedy about metal detectorists mostly failing to find anything and stumbling through life, with a typical British tired resignation at, and mild contempt for, the existence of anything and everyone they don't have any interest in.

Did you catch the Night Stalker bio/film on Netflix?

Probably the two best movies of 2020 (admittedly against not-very-stiff competition) were Soul and Another Round.

Honestly one of the best movies from Pixar in a long time. They've been off the boil in a big way but this one was an absolute belter. They had a clever idea but unlike Inside Out they actually managed to make a damn good movie out of it. Don't worry, it's not particularly woke.

Genuinely a wonderfully uplifting film with some darker bits, but you'll finish it wanting to go out and get pissed. It does an incredibly good job of capturing that feeling when you're just the right side of drunk, and weirdly that's something I think we all need right now.

Will download that and watch tomorrow, on a side note i have seen enough serial killer documentaries that if someone ever breaks in and says they will just steal some stuff after they tie me up.....i will try kill or be killed. Almost all in these stories people get tied up and then killed

Im 100% convinced BTK's first victims, if the father had tried to fight him he would have absolutely wrecked him, even with that fuck having a gun

Yep, the switch they can flip is really interesting. Going from helpful and handsome to eating your flesh is a hair trigger for these guys. Ed Kemper still my favorite. But damn the Night Stalker doc is wild, and has some great music.

The Dropped Frames podcast is one of the few i've been keeping up with lately. Pretty good video game and twitch news and reviews but of course some episodes are less so because of guests.
