Yep, so you had to know the exact time before 9am to queue up so that you'd be at the front the moment they paused it. Being ready earlier than that was everyone's downfall.
 
My buddy has been in queue since 6 am, he's now in a waiting room with the timer bouncing back and forth between 5 and 15 minutes lol. Having flashbacks of all the hoop jumping to get the PS5 and yeah, just not interested at all.

Just like Sony: open wide and let us take a shit right in your mouth.

I was in the queue early and didn't get in until like 11AM. Not that I was even really that interested in purchasing a console, but thought I might snag a LE DualSense Edge. Complete clusterfuck on Sony's part. Glad all the scalpers managed to get their Limited Edition consoles though!
 
It's exactly as you'd expect - the limited edition didn't actually even exist for anyone except bots and a few very lucky forum dwellers.

I guess at least my Pro order is confirmed.
 
My buddy got in and they only had the LE PS5 slim and the Dual Sense 30. He passed on the console and bought the DualSense and is selling it to me. What a guy!

Never got through Sony Store. I saw Best Buy has the Dual Sense controller up so I grabbed it there instead. BB ordering was quick and easy. I will probably end up canceling before it ships though since I have 3 controllers already.

I still have the 20th Anniversary controller NIB so I'll keep this one as a twin for it.
 
Man I still can't believe that they are releasing a $700 system with no disc drive. If you buy the drive (and who wouldn't unless they never want to play their PS4 discs again) and pay the tax, it's damn near $900. I just can't believe there are people who will pay that for a console that has been such a letdown compared to previous PlayStations.

But it's different knowing you can't. I have like 200 PS4 games, all physical. I don't play them all that often, but I want the option to when I feel like it. In fact, I'm playing Skyrim right now.

In my opinion best start converting now. Discs aren't long for the world your Skyrim digital copy would also play on your PS5.

I just have zero desire to go out and pre-order, especially at that price. I watched the digital foundry videos and honestly the PS5 versions still look fine in my eyes. I'm sure the performance differences is better in person on Pro but ignorance is bliss

I ended up pre-ordering a Normal Pro.

I was in the queue for well over an hour so all of the 30th Anniversary stuff was gone long before I got a chance to buy it.

I was even surprised that Pros were still available - either they have a ton of them or demand wasn't that great compared to the demand of the 30th Anniversary stuff.

The power of an item been limited is compelling stuff. Who ever game up with the idea to use grey plastic instead of white plastic needs a pay rise. God damn fucking genius.
 
I really feel like the one and only reason to get this console is for GTA6 under the assumption the game only comes out to consoles and not PC at launch.

I just can't justify giving Sony a single penny with what they've done this generation. If I really have to buy a shitty console to play GTA6 I'll probably stay in the MS ecosystem

In the end, there'll be third party companies offering plates in the same color. The details might not be that intricate and yeah, it won't be the real thing, but you will be able to get that look from AliExpress.

The only thing I want to know.... Will it fix Bloodbornes frame pacing? But really, the should've made a 60fps Pro Bloodborne patch.

Seriously, them just showing off a 60fps mode for Bloodborne would sell them so many more Pros. I'd buy one.

It's baffling why they have never done anything with the IP. It's either getting the full remake treatment or something on the legal side is stopping it (revenue share?).

Bet bet would be Bluepoint doing something with the property IMO.

It's been already reported. They scrapped a remaster for PS5 and moved to a full remake for the PS6 launch. The CUNTS

So BluePoint would only be releasing one game this generation, where all the dev work was done in the PS4 generation? I find it hard to believe.

For context Last of Us: Remake was largely done in a year.

They apparently just started with the Remake. Also doing a lot of internal tech projects for engines & workflow from what I've read. Dunno. But BB remake is slates for PS6 launch according to the reports.

I think if that did happen it would also be PS5 compatible. Otherwise it would launch when the PS5 market is at its biggest and the PS6 market is at the smallest. I mean I suppose that is what happened with Demon's Souls.

I don't know just can't get my head around a studio being inactive for that long. But you.juat can't predict Sony these days.

I don't see how Killzone to Horizon is woke given they are different games, and Ellie and Chloe certainly aren't perfect virtuous women. I'd say its reaching a bit.

It's about studios replacing male main characters with female characters because the ideology demands it. In the case of Guerilla games, abandoning the masculine Killzone franchise for a female lead game. In general, males are shameful, straight white ones the most, obviously.
