Sony's streaming service PlayStation Now will begin providing its streams up to 1080p quality this week.

Until now any game streamed on PlayStation Now was only at 720p resolution, but Sony confirmed today on Twitter that this will be changing.

1080p streaming will start this week and begin to roll out across Europe, the US, Canada and Japan over the course of the next couple of weeks.

That was 720p this whole time?! Hopefully the servers are faster. I wish you could download PS3 games, that's the one thing that drives me crazy about this service.
The service has a TON of great PS3 fighting games, but since they're all streamed it's terrible for fighting games.

That's a solid step up. Still a bit compromised for the same reasons YouTube is, but nice.

I need to try the modern day streaming stuff and see if latency is really as not horrible as people say it is.

When are these bastards gonna make this available in Australia?
I'm one of about 3 people that actually has Internet down here that's fast enough to handle it.

Maybe I just answered my own question..
