At this point all other platforms looks pretty bad compared to PC but none looks worse than the Xbox.

Right now the only advantage of an Xbox over PC is that you get a really good hardware for the price but with GPU prices going back to normal things are changing fast.

The Series S will probably get beat by RDNA3 APUs you'll find in office PCs and basic notebooks next year and something like an RX 7600 will probably tip performance for the buck metric in favor of the PC for the rest of this gen (even right now you can get a 6600 for slightly more than $200).

I was 85% Xbox, 10% PlayStation and 5% Nintendo pretty much from 2001-2019.
I got a gaming laptop in 2020 and haven't looked back since.

That's sort of what my point was, hardware still favor console at this point on face value (ignoring potential saving on PC).

I also forgot to mention physical media, that it's still the main draw of a console to me (along side not having to wait for Sony games). But physicals media of Xbox on my country is pretty much non existent at this point.

Everything about it screamed "This is the best console money can currently buy." The looks, the hardware, the standard hard drive, the startup screen, the awesome new software that the other consoles couldn't run without massive downgrades like Splinter Cell...

It's a shame it couldn't have done more in its short time on the market. Microsoft just had to be first with the next gen at the expense of hurting the OG and putting out a turd that was guaranteed to break if you had the audacity to use it.

I am planning on doing a PC build next year. So a large amount of my vidya time has been on the Xbox with minimal time on the PS4 and a few Steam games I play regularly (Left4Dead series, Eufloria, Bomber Command etc..) whatever runs on my rig that I built in 2009.

Part of the problem?
You bet your britches!
