I was really bored last night so I bought Valheim. I am not really into survival games, let alone multiplayer ones. But this one is not bad. Already spent 7 hours on it. It is quite a chill game and can look nice in its simplicity.

Not Sensible Soccer, not anything that good. So #1 is Little Computer People - it was the inspiration behind The Sims. #2 is Mouse Trap, #3 is Codemasters Italia 1990 which is officially the worst football game ever made, and #4 is the utterly wonderful Nebulus.

Not the most popular game amongst boo... um, older gamers, lol, but Fortnite has enjoyed one of the most gorgeous upgrades I've seen yet on next-gen.

The clouds and storm clouds are one of the most amazing things I've ever seen in a game. They're fully 3D and constantly shifting and changing.

Shame they're wasted on such a rubbish game. It's one of my big bugbears when really nice world designs get saddled with crap games (see Cyberpunk).

Did you never play it, but a bunch of people (who also never played it) told you it was bad, and so it was?

Nothing against you, that's how pop culture seems to work, and I've been guilty of that too, but the game itself is remarkably fun.

I've played a few Battle Royales and they're just a bit rubbish - bandwagon jumping crap really. Videos I've seen have not exactly persuaded me of the need to play it. PUBG was fun for a few minutes then got old and then everyone jumped on the trend. It needs to die already.

I don't like the game not because "ew Fortnite" but because I couldn't stand the whole building thing. I'm not a big fan of BRs also. The only one I heavily play is Apex Legends

But this is looking good on the XSX!

That's fair. I of course, completely disagree, but if everyone thought the same way, the world wouldn't be very exciting.

Having fun with Call of the Sea, on Series X. It's basically a first person exploration/story heavy game based around puzzles, as you track down the main character's missing loved one on a strange island (I hate when that happens to me).

It's generally not anything to visually write home about, despite looking really good, but it can really catch you off guard at moments with some absolutely beautiful scenes.

The Medium — Series X

Really liking the little bit I've played of this game. The thing is, if you give me a third person horror game with a good story, it's really hard for me to not love it off the bat. I'm so glad games like this are still being made.

Forza Horizon 4 — Series X

It's not the perfect port. It lost a little bit of shadow/shading to ground the less important scenery, as well as some motion blur, but this game's visuals + 4K + 60 FPS, is one of the biggest jaw drops you will ever have for image quality.

I've wrote at length how much I love this game, so I will spare you. This time, lol.

I'm genuinely surprised by how used to HDR I've gotten. I don't know if these screens are just hastily adapted from the HDR originals, but they're a real step down, if still pretty.

Have you ever played Horizon 4, lol?

It's just fun. It's not like where you have to play Flight Simulator with a car, and hit the brakes perfectly and all of that (although I like that kind of game too — just awful at it).
