Incredible, hope the momentum keeps up.
Well deserved and a return to form on how to do a launch. For a while, launches had gotten really, really shitty as far as the hoops required by buyers to jump through to get a a system from a tiny allotment. This was a well stocked launch, so refreshing. I'm sure the internals at Sony and MS were flashing warning signs on how big this was going to be, and that's why both companies came out with their flaccid dicks in their hands to do a show in a frantic bid to stop what was coming.
I guess the trick to a well-stocked launch is to cockblock the product for a whole year in advance.

I would but I can't since every store within a hundred miles has been out of stock since launch.Who buys this shit?
Best Buy restock today.
I'll belive it when I can actually get one. Still in store only and out of stock.

It sure feels like it though I visited and called multiple stores with BestBuy/Walmart/Target/Gamestop and they had absolutely no Switch 2 stock over the weekend, and as of still nearly a half week later no difference in the situation. You'll find one. Nintendo isn't using their artificial scarcity tricks this time.

See edit to my post. Amazon does not carry the Switch 2 in the United States at all likely because their idiot employees FAFO with Nintendo by showing themselves taking games weeks ahead of release and posting their stories online.Probably varies by region. Some places have full stock while others are cleaned up. Can't you order it from Amazon or something like that?
Kind of an odd milestone. Why 4 days ? Why not wait for 4 million on the 5th day or announce a week worth of sales.
Not throwing shade just the combo of 3.5 million and 4 days seems so random.

FOMO and modern psychological marketing are a hell of a thing.I thought you were holding off? Am I the only Nintenbro left who isn't buying one?

Still want to see a a full direct and lineup.

Honestly with the ongoing supply issues, its going to be a while before I get a Switch 2. I've actually been going through my backlog. The first step in overcoming impulsive behaviour is recognizing the problem. Keep it up.
Hence why it took so long for the Switch 2 to release. Nintendo was building up a gigantic supply, likely both with Switch 1 success and after seeing the supply chain nightmare with the PS5 during the Covid lockdowns.I think this speaks more to how many units they had ready to go.
I feel like any console could get record breaking sales at launch if they had record breaking supply. You have to drop the ball pretty horribly to not sell out of initial stock.
Nintendo nonchalantly dropping Splatoon spinoff game and updates for Splatoon 3. Makes me think there will be more surprise announcements. To keep the momentum going into Holidays!!

For those that didn't get one yet, at least you guys didn't get scammed out of your money like these guys lol
Thats a shame. I had gotten a refurbished Wii U that introduced me to Xenoblade. Wii U in hindsight had an interesting lineup and backwards compatible liberty but many people only realized this after Nintendo and a lot of people had already written the Wii U off.Not Wii U. I walked into the store and got one without a preorder and don't think it was ever sold out.
