Every 1-2 days, I will select one random game each from publishers Nintendo and Sega whereby they will face off to the death. Vote for which one you think is the better game, or if you haven't played either one then you choose the one you are most likely to play. So please vote and feel free to leave a comment below.

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (1995)
Platform:
SNES, Game Boy Advance
Genre: Platformer

Gunstar Heroes (1993)
Platform:
Genesis, Game Gear, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC, 3DS, Switch (NSO)
Genre: Run-and-gun shooter

this one is actually super close for me

two of the best games which each console has to offer

i'm going to have to give the edge to Diddy's Kong Quest based on nostalgia alone

I'm only voting for diddy kong cause its the only one I've played. The other game looks cool though

edit I'm at the 0:35 mark of the video. Why does that guy look like M. Bison? LOL

Gunstar Heroes is one of the funnest and most high-energy games I've ever played. Boss fights are legendary.

DKC2 is a beautiful game and sounds fantastic but I feel it was more of the same in comparison. Nothing wrong with that, I just prefer GH.

As much as I liked Gunstar Heroes when I eventually played it, and as much as I was a Sega gamer at the time, in my brief period of owning a SNES there was no game that captivated me quite like DKC2 did. Great music, fun platforming, various little secrets to discover and finally get to that 102% ending, it was excellent.

Gunstar Heroes all the way.

DKC2 is a great platformer of a certain kind. If I could only pick one -- or even five -- desert island platformers DKC2 wouldn't be on that list.

Gunstar Heroes is probably the best run-and-gun game ever. I played em all growing up. Contra, earthworm Jim, Midnight Resistance, Metal Slug, Mega Man, Alien Soldier, even more obscure stuff like Abuse on PC. Gunstar Heroes is still the best if you want a singular game that has all the best elements of all the other games.
