Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Team Ninja have released a new trailer for Ninja Gaiden: Master Collectionshowcasing playable characters Ayane, Momiji, Rachel, Kasumi, and Ryu Hayabusa.

I recently read that Team Ninja has revealed that the source code for both Ninja Gaiden Black and the original Ninja Gaiden II can't be salvaged, and this is why they aren't included in the collection.

I guess that means both of those games will be true “Only on Xbox” exclusives.

Having played just the PS3 version is there that much of a difference?.

Yeah, there are differences, especially in regard to Ninja Gaiden II. This comparison vid is often used to show some of the differences (the most noticeable differences are the reduced enemy count and the purple mist replacing blood in Sigma 2):

The original games are generally considered to be superior to the Sigma games by the NG fan base.

Correct, because they were stolen. We'll get the Sigma versions

I read that the code was just hard to salvage. Whatever the real reason is, it does seem like an extremely convenient excuse to leave Tomonobu Itagaki's NG games out of the collection.

I am so looking forward to re-playing Razor's Edge at 60fps and high res. I remember I spent days playing the demo and then months the full version. Absolutely phenomenal game. I hope there will be multiplayer available, the coop modes in both 2 and 3 are very fun.

I love Ninja Garden and Ninja Garden 2 reboots (and I loved the NES trilogy) but I'd have to import this for the physical version since it'll be digital only here in America.
