Thread: NINJA GAIDEN 2 Black Official Launch Trailer - Stealthdrops Today
I never played the 2nd one because of the negative impressions when it came out, but color me interested. Ninja Gaiden Black was damn good.

I think I played this game back on.. ps3?? and I remember never beating the final boss because there were like 3 or so bosses back to back and when I arrived at the last one I was simply fucked.

I played sigma originally back in the day. So when I got here in black years later, I was legit "wtf just happened....did I skip the boss fight?!"

Ninja Gaiden II was a near perfect game hampered by a bad framerate. When you are hacking off limbs it's like a symphony when you get the rhythm. It's an amazing amazing game.

Yeah everyone was down on the framerate and low resolution at the time from what I remember. I had access to a 360 but didn't own my own unit, so combine all of that and I just wasn't buying a copy at the time.

My problem with Ninja Gaiden 2 was that they upped the difficulty A LOT from the first game. I mean, the first game was difficult but at least they were fair about it and the bosses could be dealt with easily once you got their patterns down right. NG2 on the other hand seemed like a exercise in frustration and I never finished it.

Hopefully this new version addresses those issues and fixed the performance rates that I even I noticed back then.

Reading some comments across the internet i some people are saying this Remake is closer to Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma with gore than the o.g. Ninja Gaiden 2. Is that true?

Didn't know it was one of those stealthdrop situations. So no physical copy 😭

PS5 gets physical but only through Play Asia. I'll get you a link:

I may double dip; buy digital on Series X and then have the physical for collecting. Makes sense because I have the OG Ninja Gaiden Black digitally on my Xbox.

That's fuckin awesome, thanks. It's kinda cool getting an official physical version no one knew was out there.

Yeah there are a ton of "Asia region" games with full English on a lot of releases that are digital-only in the West

Before Demon's Souls was announced for NA, I was going to import a copy because of that. I've seen a few other examples over the years, but forgot all about it as an option.

Between Switch, PS4, and PS5 I've bought at least 30 Asia or PAL region games from play-Asia.

For a physical collector it's one of the best spots to hunt.

Damn, that's awesome.

I'm unfortunately afflicted with the collecting bug and the cheapness bug. It's hard for me to pay $50 for NG2 when I already know I have too much backlog and too little time to get to it any time soon.

I love grabbing $20 games tho haha

wow, she's back

Excited to play this but I hope it's more offense forward than the original game. I'm trying to slog my way through NGB right now and not having a great time with it. I'm wondering if I would've felt differently had I played NGB when it first came out instead of playing it in the 2020's. Once I stopped trying to play it like DMC and style over everyone, it got more bearable. Standing and blocking 75% of the time and waiting to counterattack just isn't fun for me.

Curious about your impressions. I'm interested in the game but not yet convinced by it.

I completed the game the other day. Overall liked it though the final boss was a little easier than I expected. The Talons and Lunar Staff are super OP when maxed out. Great visuals and performance was solid on the 3080. They took elements from both the OG game and Sigma
