All I'm going to say is you can do game chat almost anywhere. There's little or no benefit to chatting with complete strangers. Friend chat is where it's at, and it happens best over the chat service of your choice. There's no need for it to be tightly integrated into their system/game.

Retro gaming man. I think people are really starting to appreciate how much freedom they gave you. We took it for granted.

Personally, I think gaming has been on a slow decline ever since it got married to the internet which started in earnest with the HD era and the Xbox 360. We had internet integrated with gaming with the original Xbox and the Dreamcast, but with the HD era it became mandatory, not optional.

I'd rather bust out an internet free PS 2 or PS 1 these days than a PS 5.
