Easily my biggest qualm with Game Pass - the impermanence of the selection. Personally, I much prefer to play what I want, when I want.

Games are a medium which I approach methodically. I grew a distaste once something I was enjoying was removed from GP mid playthrough.

I agree, nothing too exciting for me either but hopefully others will find something they like . Hopefully the next batch will have something more exciting for both of us .

I used to depend on GAF to see what was coming until they outlawed that and pushed everything Game Pass to one totally useless containment thread which to NO surprise is nothing but pissed off Xbox fans and Sony peeps tolling them. Anything useful is buried in a bunch of BS.

Hopefully myself and other members here will provide much more useful Game Pass info here than can currently be found on GAF.

I get this, but games stick around so long, I have trouble finding anything to complain about. Alan Wake, for instance, is finally going away, and that was on the service at least a year, I believe? Then on top of it, you get a discount on a purchase when they leave, so there's literally no downside to starting something on GamePass.

But I do get it. There's very much (of course) still a role for the dedicated videogame purchase, and just having something forever, period.

Exactly, although I don't anticipate Outriders to be on there forever I've already completed the campaign. Loved the game and saw the devs say they might do story expansions. If that happens, I'll buy the game and the expansions and the best part is the game will probably be really cheap by the time any expansions come out.

That's a big win for the devs since I never would have bought the game and certainly not any DLC if I hadn't first played it on Game Pass.

I also agree that there are certain games I just have to own and in my case they are games that will be on Game Pass forever. Any BGS single player WRPG and anything Halo is an automatic preorder.

Oh crap n00b mistake, I forgot about filters. Is there any way to add them after the fact?

I so suck at making threads, I almost always make a stupid spelling mistake in the title, I think this one is the only exception. While I was making it it I was thinking about filters to add and of course totally forgot about it when I hit post.

Edit: Oh and fuck you @teezzy, you're just jealous of my blue hair :ROFLMAO:

Lmao. And I'll add some for you. Users can't add prefixes or edit thread titles after the fact.

Thread titles are to prevent abuse (like account suicides), but I'll have to see if the tech guys can let people edit in Prefixes.

I mean I am not mad that older sports games are leaving but I always figured they would leave them up in EA play to bolster their amount of games available.

I want to check out Steep and Just Cause 4.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a blast fwiw

I was especially surprised by the writing and how witty it was. Usually video games don't get a rise out of me, but that game made chuckle many times

It's like Minecraft but with a decent mission structure so you're not just wandering around aimlessly like some naive toddler

Loved that game; no need to play the first prior either
 
Missed the boat on Alan Wake, downloaded it a couple of days ago but may as well delete it now. Shame because I was hoping it would compliment Control when I finally get around to it...

Definitely want to give DQB2 a go. Enjoyed the demo of the first game on Switch but never jumped in to either full version. More structured Minecraft is definitely my bag. Always wanted to give Steep a try too. Doubt it comes close to the SSX glory days, but I love a good snowboarding game. Never played Psychonauts either, despite hearing good things. No complaints from me at these new things to try.

As much as I've enjoyed some EA games on this service (to my genuine surprise), FIFA can eat a bag of dicks. PES or go home.

I almost kept the xsx to use gamepass but this exact reason is why I decided it wasn't for me. I also like to own physical copies of my games if I can so the digital/rental only thing just isn't for me. Some dope games on there though.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but don't want to create a new one just for a quick question ❓:

Can I unsub from Xbox Game Pass ad hoc and then re-sub (for the same £7.99) say for just one month without any issues?
No need to uninstall the already installed games etc etc?
If yes, I guess I would be unable to play anything installed, until I re-sub, correct?

Do games leaving game pass suddenly vanish from your hard disk, or do I still get to play them afterwards?

Good question. I know you can resub, I did it few times before I became a true Game Pass believer but I'm not sure about the ability to play games installed from a previous sub. I would think it would work as long as the games were still available on Game Pass but that's just a guess on my part.
