Is it such a good idea to be opening up another sub forum at only 300 members? Inevitably it's going to slow down the others and spread out the content. I thought it was a wise decision early on to keep the board more focused in it's early stages.

Also I'm confused what's going in it. Read the OP twice 😅 First it's NSFW content, but then says everything but none gaming OT's, and then randomly off site drama.

Just my two cents. 😘

Chill - Non gaming OTs, Film/TV/Music/Hobbies etc

New Board - Humour, Shit-posting, Drama etc with a bit more leeway on NSFW content

It's going to be a little organic, but we feel it's a good move. If it doesn't work out, we can always put the boards back together. Nothing is fixed,, we just want to give it a go.

Afterlife is a gaming reference. Being a gaming forum first and foremost we kind of figured people would get that (it's the name of Bars in both Mass Effect 2 & Cyberpunk 2077). It also ties in with the site being D-Pad.Life

I don't know, seems to me a good way to expand is to hide away the pervs and shitposters like we do the politics.

We're way less likely to scare off the normies if they can't see what we're actually like, at least until they've acclimatised enough to rtake it.

Oy vey some of you guys can be so dreary sometimes. I just want to be able to have a thread where we compare what matters most, the battle of the Emmas. We can compare them piece by piece...thread by thread...in an epic and glorious battle.

Ultimately, I'm going to go along to get along. It's not a dealbreaker or anything.

The new board is entirely opt-in for those who care for it.

The reality is, we're a little too spicy for some folks, so we figure we have a public face which is open to all and a more private space for those who want something a bit more free and easy. That's not to say it's going to be the wild west (there's plenty of sites out there that specialise in that sort of thing). But sometimes you've got to dare to be different. If some people think that's anaemic, feel free to proffer up some suggestions and solutions, because pouring scorn on it alone doesn't really cut it.
