Tonight's Bellator Card doesnt look that impressive, but the main event should be good fun.
I am torn on who will get the knock out. Both can do it easily. If its in Rd1 it will likely be Kharitonov. If it goes further I think Kongo will knockout a gassed Russian.

WOW cannot believe that Kongo got that submission. Holy shit was that a literal split second before the bell. Kharitonov is going to feel like shit when he sees that replay. And he was winning that fight in a big way til Kongo landed that right late in the second.

I can't root for Gastelum; dude has potential but doesn't seem to want to put in the work. As an aside the art choice in that poster makes Cannonier look like he has microcephaly.

These are some great fights, I'm especially excited to see Lima vs MVP 2. After that crushing defeat in their first fight, curious if can crusher will be a bit more cautious here.

I am hoping Woodley hurts Paul so we dont have to suffer any more of this WWE crap. But with the amount of money Paul is making I wouldnt be surprised if the fight was fixed.

And of course that twat waffle won. Woodley looked like he was holding back the whole fight. Not sure if sick, broken hand or fixed, but it was pretty lame.

Well damned if Trump wasnt ok as a commentator with Jr... and Junior. Better than Frank Trigg at least. Was Trump for sure, but it was good. He made everyone feel like a "winner" even after defeat. Vitor took out Holyfield quick. Wish they had let it go a little longer, but the writing was on the wall. On the more predictable front, we all saw Tito getting his lights turned off like he did.

Evader is an ancient relict, it was very clear that he'll lose. Vitor isn't the youngest either, but still explosive enough.

Tito was a joke. So incredibly slow with telegraphed punches. This stuff ass dude has no business boxing. Anderson was calm and did a good counter punch. But these fights were only old man earning some money, it was for the spectacle, not the skills.

Agreed. That said, I wouldnt mind a Silva/Belfort boxing match. Both look like they still have it (despite obv decline). Of course Vitor made that callout to Jake Paul chasin that money. So doubt we will see it happen.

I believe Anderson and Vitor would beat Jake. But he's very young and they are battered veterans well past their prime. Anything can happen with that constellation.
 
Yoel taking on Davis at LHW this Saturday I. Bellator. Will be the last test to see if Yoel is done or not. He looked bad in his last ufc fights, but rumor was he was unhappy about contract. So he better show it Saturday and give Davis a scrap.

Ny money is on Mr Wonderful, think he will out wrestle Yoel.

Rest of the card is pretty weak and will just have to hope for some good matches to emerge.

I'll play devil's advocate and go with Yoel. Phil Davis hasn't looked good to me since 2013.

Mhm this is a difficult one to predict for me.Yoel has the tools and brute force to make it very uncomfortable for Davis. Davis should be able to win, but I have a feeling that Yoel will take this one.

Either way, I think it'll be a boring fight.

The last fight (Polizzi/Neal) of the Bellator 266 undercard was damn fun. That piledriver by Polizzi in the third was priceless.

Phil Davis dominated Romero. Yoel looked good in the 2nd and it was a very close round. But round 1 he looked like ass and Phil was landing points. Round 3 was all Davis after the first minute. Got Romero down twice and landed from the top. Was Davis' round for sure.

Really great card tonight. Much better than it looked on paper.

Curious where Yoel goes from here. I always feel like he's great at hanging in there, but he's not dominant or impressive.

Now that Rumble is out of the GP, he and Romero should be rebooked for December. Other LHW fights that could be good would be with Bader (assuming he loses to Anderson). Or he could try and drop back down to MW and make a run for Gegard and the belt.

Either way not in a great spot, but still in a position to get 1 or 2 more worthwhile fights if done right.

Yea they said it at the end of the fight. Either a weak excuse or he and his coaches are morons. You train for weeks for a fight, getting paid a couple hundred grand... and you dont know how many rounds you are fighting?
