Ortiz definitely deserves it. Real happy for him
Ortiz in my mind is a first ballot hall of famer and it is completely deserved. He had a fantastic career, so many clutch hits especially in the post season and has 3 rings to top it off. Those are HOF credentials. It's just the obvious double standard which is going to irk fans. Having him in there while keeping others out for PEDs is a joke.

To be honest, the Mets and Yankees should just ignore the rules and force the city to come after them on it. They can ultimately pay the fines if it comes to that. They can certainly afford it, and it would look really bad for the city. Worse than if they just comply.
