Live service games probably make sense going multi platform.

A God of War not so much. At least for the first year.

A lot of Xbox 1st party could go completely free to play and on every platform and still not be relevant. Ultimately that is the Xbox issue.

Xbox needs to go multi platform because their 1st party games are mostly dog shit. And the only ones you can say that isn't true to is games like Starfield that were bought near the end of development.
