Been thinking a lot about tattoos today. Pretty much all day tbh.

Very likely going to get some Detroit Red Wings and Buffy the Vampire Slayer work done. I've got some gaps on my right arm I need to fill.

I'm thinking just the Red Wings logo in black and white, nice and clean

Then probably Buffy's scythe soon after like this piece here:

There aren't a lot of masculine Buffy tattoos out there tbh 😅

I like this one because it's subtle and dope. My right arm should be pretty heavily inked at that point. Might even get some filler to turn it into a proper half-sleeve

I have eight currently. Four on each arm. Planning to work my way up to full sleeves. Just hope it all looks cohesive when all is said and done.

I came close to getting a tattoo many times over the years, but now, decades later, I am grateful I never did. Getting a tattoo with personal significance is one thing (except those portraits that always turn out nightmare-inducing), but I can't help but think there are a lot of people out there who regret all the stupid shit they've inked on their bodies when they were younger. Tramp stamps, barbed wire, flame effects, ribbons/garters, name of your current SO, etc.

The only person in my family who has a tattoo is my mom. She has two swallows on her right shoulder blade representing me and my brother.

Do you have any tattoos? Are you still happy with them? What's the history behind them?

Are you thinking about getting one? Or do you say no, never ever?

I don't have any tattoos. In my very cool younger years, have been pretty close to getting one though. Which luckily didn't happen because I had the most ridiculous ideas floating in my head. Still am thinking about it from time to time.

But I was thinking about getting a tattoo which is linked to my three daughters. Don't have a great idea for it yet though and am not 100% sure if I'll do it.

These things tend to look hideous once you get old - but at that point who cares, you're an old fart.

What about you?

And yes, you can share the most ridiculous tattoos from the internet here.
Just like someone else said, if you're iffy, don't bother.
The hipsters and trans feminist ruined it anyway. It has zero meaning.

Just ask the mush mouth retards that put prison drawings all over their faces so the other boys know he's someone else's property

I am signed up to have both shoulders/arms and chest done in Traditional Japanese tats done early next year (my artist gets booked out months and months). I am both anticipating and dreading the multiple sessions and many hours this will take. All my tattoos up til now have been ~3hr sessions. Will be interesting how a few 6 hr sessions go. I think after the outlines it wont be too bad. But then again Traditional Japanese has a shit ton of shading. I am dreading the bicep area.

once this is done pretty sure I am done getting inked.

I typically stop feeling shit after a few hours. I mean if they're working on the same area. Arms are fine outside of the ditch. That area can be a bit sensitive, but it isn't too bad.

We have a "world renowned" tosse........I mean, traditional Japanese specialist artist over here, called Chris Crooks. He's a pretentious fuckwit, but good. People fly in from all over the world to get inked by him.

In progress. CHEEKS:

My guy isn't world renowned but he is really good. He has done three of my pieces and have always been happy with the work. His passion is traditional Japanese and all the stuff he does looks fantastic. I have like 5 friends from HS who are tattoo artist and post their work on IG… yea I would never let them ink me lol

Absolutely amazing.Just great art.

I've been thinking of a Wolf on my left arm. Basically from Shoulder to Elbow. I will say tho, I'm a bit concerned as I seem to get more skin and allergy issues as I get older. I've read people can have issues with certain inks, especially certain colors. Last thing I need is to have issues with it after.

I'm getting a chest tattoo in 3 weeks. Waiting time for an appt. was 8 months... Seems that it's the one place that hurts the most. Though piercings hurt more in my case.

Went and got the outlining done on the right side on Friday. Was ~5 hrs under the needle. Doing the left side next month and then (per my artist) four more sessions for shading (two already booked). Having to juggle work travel with tattoo healing is going to be fun. With any luck I will have it all done by end of May.

The longest session I had was 12 hours. The artist was a friend of a friend. Needless to say I'd never do that again.
