Do you have any tattoos? Are you still happy with them? What's the history behind them?

Are you thinking about getting one? Or do you say no, never ever?

I don't have any tattoos. In my very cool younger years, have been pretty close to getting one though. Which luckily didn't happen because I had the most ridiculous ideas floating in my head. Still am thinking about it from time to time.

But I was thinking about getting a tattoo which is linked to my three daughters. Don't have a great idea for it yet though and am not 100% sure if I'll do it.

These things tend to look hideous once you get old - but at that point who cares, you're an old fart.

What about you?

And yes, you can share the most ridiculous tattoos from the internet here.

I'll share 2 of my 5 tattoos.

I have Jin Kazama's tattoo in the same spot as he does.

Then my nickname on my right forearm from wrist to elbow. My best friend in 9th grade gave me the nickname Lunchbox from the Silent Bob fame. However, quickly after getting the tattoo the nickname quickly morphed from Lunchbox to Lunchy (hence my YT name and PSN name). Wished I waited on that one. ;)

American flag, right bicep.

Also have the AVA logo on my inner wrist. Not only am I a huge Angels and Airwaves fan, but i found their music right at a pivotal time and Events in my life. It's most definitely fitting that I have that logo, without going into too much further detail.

I'm considering getting a barcode tattoo that will actually show up on a scanner. You can download an entire catalog that shows the alphabet in bar codes and you can say basically anything in it. Probably on my left bicep Or inner forearm.

Not opposed to them, but my cousin got some ropey ones when we were young (Fiancees name, and then they broke up 6 weeks later type bad....) and that's always made me think long and hard about whether they're a good idea for me. I've changed a lot over the centuries years and it's hard to think about any particular thing that I would want on my body forever, plus they can look great early on but over time they tend to get muddy.

Btw found this great one.

100%. For mine yeah, they're mostly throwaway jokes or stupid shit, but they represent bookmarks in my life. I look at them or see them in the mirror and instantly reminded of the good and bad at those times.

Does anyone have a good idea for a tattoo representing three daughters? Like, not directly a pic of them, but more abstract.

Not very big, on the forearm maybe.

Good thing you waited. QR codes are all the rage now.

The challenge for me is to find something unique and personal. Many trendy tattoos out there that are cool and new... and then everyone has it. Some don't mind of course.
But I want something timeless and individual - which isn't easy.

Pretty much this. Don't really think about my tattoos much. Hate "tattoo culture", but wouldn't mind getting full sleeves eventually.

I have seven total. Mostly music related, but subtle enough where if people don't recognize the imagery, then they just look like random images. I even lie to people when asked. I.E. my Deftones White Pony tattoo is always, "oh I just really like horses". Cracks me up every time, especially if they go for follow up questions and I pretend I'm a horse expert.

But yeah, all of mine feel kinda personal. Usually get em during darker phases of life and I look back on each one and think, "don't sweat it, you've been through worse"

My wife is the oldest of seven and they've all decided they are going to get the roman numeral indicating their place in the lineup somewhere on their bodies. Her mom could get hashmarks I suppose lol. I don't know, it's difficult to make an abstract symbol without knowing the people.

If you have to ask others for tattoo ideas, then you really don't want the imagery badly enough to have it on your body forever. They should be personal dude

Not tryna be a dick, just saving you from jumping into something prematurely

Very true. I have 8 tattoos and average one every 2-3 years. It takes me that long to settle in what I want next. Of the 8, only (kind of) regret one. Which of course was my first lol. Only advise I would give is steer away from video game/Pop Culture as they run the risk of not aging well and making you look like dumbass. Like all those guys with Looney Tune characters from the 1990's, good lord. Though I have seen enough bad LoZ ink to last me a life time.
