Kena: Bridge of Spirits coming to Steam on September 27 alongside ‘Anniversary Update’

Ember Lab will release the PC version of Kena: Bridge of Spirits via Steam on September 27 alongside a free “Anniversary Update” for existing platforms, the developer announced.

The Anniversary Update will add the following content:

• New Game+ – Begin a new adventure after completing the game, starting with all your abilities, upgrades, and Rot as you face new combat encounters, challenges and unique enemies.
• Spirit Guide Trials – Sharpen your skills and unlock rewards in The Trials, including: Wave Defenses, Obstacle Courses, and the chance to take on key boss-fights again and again.
• Outfits – Unlock brand new outfits for Kena to wear by mastering The Trials.
• Charmstones – Discover Charmstones that can be equipped to provide different advantages and disadvantages to customize your playstyle.
• Enhanced Photo Mode – Includes more fun poses, unique lighting setups, and even a moving camera feature!

Great game. Took a bit to really get going, but once you get some abilities, the game becomes really good. Loved the exploration.

Unreal Engine 4-powered Kena: Bridge of Spirits now supports NVIDIA DLSS 2

Kena: Bridge of Spirits uses Unreal Engine 4 and for its Steam release, Ember Lab implemented support for NVIDIA's DLSS 2 AI-upscaling tech.

Was the PS4 version of this game acceptable? Was looking at games similar-ish to Zelda: Breath of the Wild (at least, similar-ish enough for my kids who will be playing it) and this game keeps getting mentioned as a hidden gem.

Kena is a lesbian which I imagine is incredibly important to the plot.

The game has tons of stuttering and frame drops on Steamdeck. Not sure how it got verified. I read a lot of others experiencing it too. I had to refund the game.
