I watched this the other day when I was recovering from being ill and honestly, I think they got lost in the spectacle to the detriment of reason. Sometimes less is more. The Bulletproof jackets thing in JW2 was a fun idea, but in this, it just became a kind of ludicrous inclusion with everyone pulling their jackets etc over themselves like capes in Phantom of the Opera as if somehow they didn't all look utterly stupid.
For what it is worth I did enjoy JW3 as a ride, however for myself personally the fight with Common on board the train in JW2 is probably still the best one out of all of them and you look at it now and you wouldn't even think it was from the same franchise.
Whatever they have planned for the future, they need to get back to their roots and forget the 200 ninjas fighting on the deck of a star destroyer crashing into a tidal wave during a rave approach and instead settle on JW (or his replacement) inventively decking 10-20 disposable rent-a-thugs, before facing off against an actual probable threat for a proper fight.
