Good on you! I've had a full home gym for most of my adult life, and it's saved me so much time and money in the long run. Definitely money well spent if you have the space.

Ordered it a couple of days back from the Designlab

Presently waiting for shipment to Euroland

Oh man that is tempting. I see you can choose to not have a circular white light shining at you as well. My biggest complaint with the default controller. I'm happy with the Duelsense... but might check it out. How much did it cost?

Just under £68 though that included shipping and the engraving.

I just looked there and it's interesting. On the American site only a few colours have the white circle I hate, on the UK site every colour has the white circle I hate. In both countries my preferred colour (purple) has it 🙈.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the white circle if I'm honest (the logo?). Also, they're all manufactured in China (mine is shipping from Guangzhou) so I would expect that's the same across the board.

Actually on looking again most of the lights are like this, which i hate 😪. I play in a dark room on an oled and this search light is distracting as hell for me. Its fine during the day though.

Picked up a pair of those Pulse 3D head phones from Sony to be paired with a PS5. After a few days with them, I think they are pretty good. Have mostly used in Days Gone so not sure how well that does/doesnt utilize 3d audio. Any one have a good PS5 game to test out the 3d audio?

They are definitely a step up from the PS4 black/blue headsets. Not leaps and bounds, but sensible improvements. Hopefully the leatherette material holds up better than last gen. Sound quality is good. Not as good as my Sennheisers, but more than adequate for a console. Bass is rich. It is also very convenient to be able to just rest them on my vertical PS5. This is needed since they do not fold like the last gen.

They are comfortable. The cups cover my entire ear. They are soft and are easy to wear for longer sessions. The band on top is moderately comfortable and keeps the set locked on. Can see them being a bit small for people with larger heads/ears/faces.

So far my only complaint is the wireless dongle. Yep its not utilizing Bluetooth with the console. So having a dongle already suck. But lord it is big and sticks out. Luckily there are two USB ports in the read of the PS5, so I have the dongle and a power cable back there. Leaves the front clean and I can just use the one cord to charge the headphones and Dual Sense as needed between sessions. My nonscientific observation is that the headphones hold a charger a little longer than the Dual Sense.

Haven't used the MIC yet. But the last gen was already acceptable, so this one I am sure is serviceable.

Depending on durability I would probably recommend them. Super easy to use and more than adequate at a fair price.

Another mouse for my PC. Midnight, reading shit online about mice, said fuck it and bought it. I'm so incredibly stupid. Who needs that many mice.

So, even though I have them on my server, I purchased the entire Battles Without Honor or Humanity series (including New Battles trilogy) on blu ray. I got turned into the series too late to grab the boxed set (which is still available, just overpriced by resellers.) When searching around on the net for a good deal I had the random idea to check out the distribution company "Arrow Video". Turns out they do sell movies direct. AND they were having a 60% off sale so I picked them up for $10 a pop for the main five and $25 for the New Battles trilogy. So for $75 (plus tax/shipping) I now have the complete series in hard copy.

I think this further reinforces that piracy can lead to sales if the content is good enough.

For those unfamiliar with Battles Without Honor or Humanity series:

Bought myself a No Mans Sky Beanie & a 5th Anniversary limited edition pin a couple of weeks back

The Design labs controller turned up today, which was kind of unexpected as FedEx led me to believe it was still languishing in China and would be for another week. Still, happy it arrived.

I never had the Xbox one versus the 360, however, I'm enjoying the feel of it. It's pretty robust. I'm playing wired as the Bluetooth on the PC is a bit spotty (the Rig is under the desk which doesn't help) so I had to get a 3rd party wire. I have found (at least in NMS) that you don't want to go too vertical with the controller in that regard as it does sometimes cause the controller to wig out, but yeah it's great for the most part.

I recently got a new briefcase/messenger bag. I had been rocking the same Kenneth Cole bag for about 10 years. But teh fake leather was all cracked and the interior lining was starting to tear (and I was loosing things in there!). SO I figured it was FINALLY time for a new one.

I wanted something professional, durable, made in the USA and 'hip'. I was originally thinking I would get a leather one, but simply could not fins one I liked (without spending >$600) Eventually I stumbled upon the brand Tom Bihn. Its a super hipster brand from Seattle, but by all appearances makes high quality gear. And its actually made in Seattle.

I got the Cadet

Got this color (with the blue interior)

Added a Cache for my 15" MacBook and the absolute strap. Both are awesome upgrades. I also added a couple small Tom Bihn organizational sleeves (that attach via D rings). After about a month with the bag I am immensely impressed. It is very well made, super functional and (so far) looks/feels brand new. Its made out of heavy ballistic nylon so it should last as long as the Kenneth Cole (if not longer).

If you can live with supporting hipsters in Seattle, Tom Bihn makes a great bag and should be considered.
