I remember when a good lot of us fled to a discord server and I thought the idea of making another forum was moot

"Why another forum?" I questioned, not fully understanding the need for a site like this when we already had an established community in said discord server

That discord server has since disbanded and a certain gaming forum many of us originated from feels like a completely foreign community. Does not feel cozy there

For better or worse, I'm super sentimental and nostalgic, and am currently feeling grateful for this site and everyone here. Even @Stouffers

Cheers everyone. Glad to have a like-minded group online to share thoughts and opinions with, both gaming and otherwise

Honestly after experiencing the wonders of discord mods banning me because I was using the dad joke feature on the moderator (I'm guessing that was the reason was never a clear answer and was told they saw no problem with the rule that you may can be banned for not posting suggestive haikus) I have come to the conclusion this place is pretty nice thanks.

This is the place GAF was before it went to shit. Where we could freely discuss stuff without having to tiptoe around 'sensitive' people's feelings and get a ban for it.

Now more than ever the internet needs free spaces like this. Especially after the great troon army brought down KiwiFarms.
