@Hostile_18 @lock2k @TaySan

$22 and I can hook up one of my PCs to my Trinitron directly

I'd argue that this is even smarter as I can legit emulate whatever, play actual PC games, whatever
Amazing idea

Bro. Sometimes you have to realize it's not about playing the games. It's about collecting them. Otherwise you wouldn't have built a second collection 🫡

Another point I think worth mentioning is it gives your house (and you) personality. The empty Apple design /nordic house shit is annoying. That's why it's so nice to have books/movies/games on your shelfs in your home imo.

I sold off a big chunk of my gaming collection a while back and pocketed 20g. I still saved some treasured games along with all my console hardware. But I'm like some here in that I'm more than happy to emulate. And I have always been very much a minimalist despite having tons of games. It has always been my only material indulgence, well, besides books, but for the most part I'm happy with an e-reader. I do love the *feel* of sitting with a book though. But it's easy to "catch & release" without holding onto a "library". I just love the feeling of being unencumbered by too much *stuff*, so letting go of all those games was addition by subtraction in many ways for me. I admit that there was a part of me that wanted to cling to that collection, but the fact that I felt that way was, for me, another indication that it was a good time to let it go. And in the end, I felt a sort of liberation from that attachment. It was a good feeling, even if there's a part of me that always loved browsing that library, thumbing through everything, reading manuals and so on. But I don't regret it. All is transient in the end anyway. Better not to cling and to live in harmony with the ever-changing nature of reality if you want to maintain inner peace.

Edit: Now my digital backlog forever remains, lol. I can't escape the karmic wheel, ha.
