Super Mario Bros. Wonder was a pleasant surprise. Mario Party Superstars completely surprised me. Super Mario Party Jamboree had me very excited to play but I can't say that I was like monstrously hyped. The last time, it was Breath of the Wild. I spent so many hours daydreaming about that game. Pretty much as soon as I beat Skyward Sword I was imagining what was next. And the trailers for BOTW were game changers

But I'll admit, FFXVI, I thought that game was going to be the next monumental title until I saw that they had little vision for it outside of war(s). I figured the game was going to be this grand, unforgettable quest of epic proportions one that checked all the boxes kind of like FFXIV and making up for the fans not really getting too much out of FFXV. As soon as I saw one of the more definitive trailers, my hype was deflated pretty quickly

Armored Core VI was hype and delivered, Elden Ring over delivered for me, incredible.

Helldivers 2 delivered, pretty cool.

I was hyped for Horizon Forbidden West and Plague Tale Requiem, but both fell short of expectations for me.
