Ezio's arc is my personal favorite. Ubisoft had really leaned into melding conspiracy and historical aspects that made for a compelling narrative and what ifs. The game iterated in a way with Ezio that flirted with systems on brotherhood in helping the idea that the Assassins were a formidable force to counter the Templars. Building up your villa with passive bonuses is always a crowd pleaser. I wanted an ancient Rome arc after it, which Odyssey didn't quite capture in a way I wanted, though it was appreciated with the compare and contrast to the Greeks.

Ezio's story line kept the modern aspects a bit more cohesive even if Desmond's story went off the rails and reconned the big solar event which never happened.

I still look back fondly on the totality of Ezio's adventure as a whole.

Only Black Flag/Rogue compares, for me, but mainly due to the Naval combat and outfitting of the ships. Also sea chanties.

Let's see what ToTK is up against then.
As cool as some of the inventions are I wish Nintendo had gone more for Ocarina of Time and Elden Ring influences building up Breath of the Wild into Tears of the Kingdom instead of Gmod and Nuts and Bolts.

Shit Tears of the Kingdom could have fit like 21 Ocarina/Twilight Princess tier dungeons easily, 7 for Sky Islands, 7 for Hyrule Proper and 7 for the Depths. That would have been worth the 6 year wait.

Also Tears of the Kingdom should have the Champions as optional party members (not their 'spirits') along with gear being able to to repeaired, upgraded and endgame Masterwork Tier made unbreakable.

Also useful and helpful menus.

I think I prefer Paper Mario overall. Ezio games are not my favorite among AC. Too many annoying Italian accents.
Are you saying you prefer the Paper Mario series in general, or TTYD in this case? I ask because a surprising amount have never played the game. Can't be too surprised though, considering the GameCube didn't reach as many as the Wii or the Switch

I thought Nintendo would win 90% of the vote. Unusual.

I think most Nintendo series will, but Paper Mario just is too niche and honestly, no matter how good anyone says it is, it's SEVERALLY limited by being a Mario title. Also it's going against one of the most loved games in a very popular modern series. AC is a lot more mainstream than Paper Mario.

As overall series I prefer AC over Paper Mario, but in this case TTYD over AC2. Paper Mario and TTYD are finest JRPGs I've played.
