Got the collection and played three first, it was mediocre and I never bothered with the other two.

You give tard a whole new meaning lol

Cloud Strife

Doku from Ninja Gaiden on Xbox.

I like how, at the time, the cutscenes quality from this game were above any other game. Also how classic it is to meet your nemesis right from the start of the journey.

Far enough into the game, you get to fight this monster just to realize the adventure doesn't end there. And that you're in for an absolute epic ride you'll never forget.

Saren from Mass Effect is the perfect example. Although much of the promotional material for the game makes him out to be the main antagonist, it turns out he's just a servant to a much greater threat. It's a great bait and switch from a time when Bioware didn't suck.

Letho of Gulet from The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings also counts, although I'd hesitate to call him strictly a 'viillain'. For all the grief he causes you in the game he's just as likely to help you in unexpected ways. He's an incredible character despite not being from The Witcher books and was created by CDProjektRed for the game.

Dutch Van der Linde from Red Dead Redemption 2. Although some may argue he's really the main villain of the game, it's Micah Bell who creates a lot of the conflict. But Micah wouldn't do so much damage if Dutch didn't inadvertently allow it. Plus his incredibly stupid choices cause no end of grief and tragedy for the gang.

That's weird. I can't even remember one. I know there were a ton of games that did the secondary villain thing very well, but not in recent games I guess.

Ramon Salazar from RE4. Not the main antagonist but definitely the best one. Sadler is a bore.

King Logan from Fable 3.
The guy seems like he's the main baddie until half way through the game when you find out about the Crawler. I definitely enjoyed that twist. Fable 3 gets a bad rap but I enjoyed it. [/ISPOILER]

How you remembered any thing from Fable 3 other than how bad it was, is beyond me. o_O

I liked Fable 3. I don't really remember all the fake promises that Peter Molyneux probably made but the game was solid. The graphics were decent, the gameplay was pretty good, and the choices in the game actually mattered. I actually remember more characters and story moments from Fable 3 than from the previous 2 entries. I obviously haven't played it in many years so I don't know how it holds up now.

It's crazy just how unfortunate that choice was. Infinite is short for "Infinitely worse than the first two, representing nothing they offered besides a shared world for the story to take place in and a DLC that ties into the first game"

A bit of an obscure one, but I really liked Hans Grosse from Wolfenstein 2009. Made for a cool final boss and was a nice callback to the first boss of Wolfenstein 3D. "Guten Tag!"

Kinda miss these types of Wolfenstein games, tbh. Wolfenstein went off the deep end with Youngblood and started declining in quality with New Colossus. Having a classic supernatural mixed with Sci-Fi mixed with archeology Wolfenstein game a la RTCW, The Old Blood and this would be nice. Very Indiana Jones-ish.

Zant from Zelda TP. Going from a seemingly bad ass MF to a teenager on a sugar high was absolute genius. No one saw that coming.

I wanted to say Zant, but he's not earned it

He does not deserve it even for a second. No matter how seemingly sinister he was in the first half of the game, his descension into madness was fruity. It was literally just him getting butthurt and whining and pouting in a boss fight. His design was actually great even without his mask on, he looked like an alien sorcerer slash prince of some sort. But the high pitch screaming like a girl, dancing and pouting in the fight, it was all way too weak. Hold this L, Zant

I'll second Ocelot, kind of surprised the thread didn't just end with that honestly.

If I had to dig up a second choice I'd say Loghain from DA: Origins, he's kind of cartoonishly skummy but he does a good job of making you hate him.

Aw man, how could I forget about Loghain? He's one of my favorite characters in Dragon Age. I actually like him better than that whiny cunt Alistair.

While he does some pretty despicable things in Origins, I can understand his reasons. Even though they're pretty stupid things to do during a crisis like The Blight. And if possible, I much prefer to spare his life and make him a Grey Warden. He's much more interesting to have around rather than dead.

I really enjoyed The Second Sister in Fallen Order. I think they should have used the same character and actress for the Obi Wan tv show instead of that HORRENDOUS actress they went with. The Second Sister had the perfect amount of psycho to her. I loved seeing her sweaty and wild eyed at the end.

The new Jedi game also has some good villains.

Agreed. I was going to say Rayvis in Jedi Survivor is really good. I genuinely felt kind of bad putting him down, even if he was the leader of the Bedlam Raiders.

100% Dimentio from Super Paper Mario, sure he eventually becomes the main villain, and it's kind of obvious that's gonna happen, but man what a fun sadistic monster.
