No one on this site has any disciplinary warnings or marks against them.

Now that doesn't mean posts haven't been edited to remove the word faggot. But the most that has been done is an alert explaining to the user why their post was edited.

I believe his bigger issue was that his post in the other thread about the dead brother got altered and he did not want to feel forced to be nice to other people.

Which is a "conflict" that could've easily been resolved.

One aspect of community is that you behave with the community's reputation in mind. You exercise self-control for the sake of others that you claim to want to associate with. A community requires all of its members to exercise this kind of self control or it simply falls apart. This isn't profound. This is common sense stuff. Selflessness on the internet, essentially. I figured this was a well-known concept that we all strove toward. 🤷‍♀️

Arcadia was a snake even on GAF. Y'all need to grow up and use the internet better. If any event or any problem will turn this site into GAF 3.0, it will be because naive people let in the narcissists. We do not need folks who think they deserve to post whatever they want without consequence, to act like bullies and then sneer "heh, just a bunch of bullies in here" when receiving pushback. These types are a dime a dozen, and they will find homes elsewhere.

Every start-up makes mistakes but Arcadia should still be taken as a sober lesson.

In fairness it wasn't racist, it was a memeification of what happened after Marvin got killed in Pulp Fiction, that featured a line from the movie that had 'Narsgoth' in it.

It was a silly joke, not an insult.

Also I recommend playing Darkside Chroniclers first if yo can, which is a prequel that explains what Leon was up to between 2 and 3, recaps the events of Resident Evil 2 and Code Veronica from Leon's perspective, and itroduces a major charcter from 4, who is introduced out of nowhere, whith barely any explanatiin, but treated like a major character the player should be fully aware of.

It also makes it explicitly clear that Leon is an absolute fucking lunatic, who can apparently alter reality to correspond to his delusions.

Only played resident evil 1 and 5. Beat both.
