Thread: Going to attempt a 7 day fast
What's the benefit of doing a full week ? Real question and a bit extreme isn't it.
I can understand maybe 2 at most 3 days but not more

TLDR, live longer, feel better, build your immunity, lose weight, etc. etc.
I would do ibuprofen + coffee to take the headache away
Don't want to do pills on an empty stomach but in general I agree with you. I usually take excedrin for migraines.

Letting you know right now GOAT cawk, if your wife decides to run her titties on your cock too many times during the 7-day fast, you aint gonna make it boi

Know your inherent cream value, and never doubt the power of a pint of breastmilk

Did a lot of fasting twenty years ago.
One time I went to ten days. But it was difficult.

I didn't do "eat nothing", though. I tried something called "FX Mayr fasting". You get to eat a bit of old bread and a cup of milk. The idea behind this is training to eat slowly as well. Which you do, because you covet every little byte of that shit old bread then. Plus you drain your intestines daily with bitter salt. Which has kind of a horrible taste.

Worked surprisingly well, though. Got rid of my chronic fatigue back then.

I hope you will do okay El Rey. Reading this thread I am concerned about how little people are eating generally though. I think the longest time I have gone without food was when I needed to fast to do a blood test for work and that was until midday. That sucked. Even when I got COVID in 2021, I just skipped Morning Tea and Afternoon tea for a couple of days but I still needed to have something for my 3 main meals.

My wife knows not to pop them fat tits in my mouth this week!

10 days?! I read anything over 50 cal will break your fast so I'm just doing straight black coffee.

I'll live but suffering from migraines definitely doesn't make this easier. I'm over 37 hours atm.

slowly taper off caffeine over a period of a few weeks (or more, depending how much you consume) before the next fast and you won't have to deal with that

I drink 1 small cup of black coffee a day, problem I have is if I get a migraine I have to take excedrin which is loaded with caffeine.

All Excedrin Migraine is is acetaminophen (tylenol), aspirin, and 65 MG caffeine. 65 MG is probably about the same amount of caffeine in your black coffee cup. A typical serving of coffee is about 100 MG of caffeine. You'd probably get the same effect by taking half a tylenol, 1 aspirin, and drinking your regular cup.

I've tried that too. I usually pop 2-3 excedrin WITH the coffee though if it's bad enough. I'm trying to get rid of the excedrin though but as you can imagine it's hard. Migraines are something I've struggled with my entire life. Like right now? I'm almost 40 hours fasted and I'm not hungry at all. I'm straight chilling.

You'll make it. Around day 4 or 5 you get to the point where you're not even thinking about food anymore and then it's "smooth" sailing.

I did a 10 day water only a few years ago to try to clear some stuff up and it really wasn't bad. Had to add salt to my water around day 8 though due to cramping. It's all about that autophagy my man.

I've struggled with them too. I went to a neurologist who specializes in headaches last year and she didn't really help. Did you ever talk to a doctor?

Been there done that multiple times. Have gone to neurologists, multiple PCPs, MRIs done, ophthalmologists, etc. None of them have helped and they always want me to try some experimental shit. The last neurologist was like "TRY THIS SHOT. ONCE A MONTH NO MORE MIGRAINES! NO SIDE EFFECTS AT ALL." I found a bunch of youtube reviews from people who said it made their lives so much worse. One guy looked like he was going to kill himself after recording the video, so I was like "Yeah...no thanks." My little sister tells me I get the migraines cause I'm gay.

At 72 hours in 30min, not hungry either. Going to make it through tomorrow morning and call it quits, wife is worried and begging me. May just go fishing in the morning and call it a successful first attempt. After a bunch of research seems all the benefits peak at 72 anyways.

Final update. Broke my fast yesterday at 90 hours. Wife was driving me crazy constantly asking me if I was okay or if I was going to faint and I was like "WOMAN I'M FINE". Feel fantastic today. Ton of energy.

Good job. Don't blame other people for being a quitter.

Nah I didn't quit by any means, I very much intend to do a 7 day faster later this month. This was just a warm up in my opinion. I'm proud of myself, this month have gone from 230 to 212 in less than 30 days.

I was just busting balls. That's pretty amazing you made it that far. I know I couldn't.

That's a good sign. She was trying to make sure your cawk was in tact and will survive another day to rock titts in the metaphysical time continuum I like to call 'home'

Why don't you just eat a lunch every 3 days for a couple weeks?

Or there is something special about not eating at all for extended periods that make it better?

Main benefit of a longer fast is "autophagy", where the body destroys old, weak, and damaged cells and breaks them down for protein and nutrients. Autophagy takes about 24 hours to get going and about 48 hours to hit its peak, where it taperrs off a bit at 72-96 hours.

Your idea is good. Only a lunch every 3 days would be a 24 hour fast every 3 days. Not terrible but if someone wanted to drop pounds fast, it would be too slow.

Also the first 24 hours is the worst (until you eventually get used to OMAD) compared to day 2 or 3, so doing a bunch of 24 hr fasts seems like self punishment

Per my understanding, the benefit of fasting up to and past 72 hours is stem cell regeneration. The body doesn't need to regenerate those every day so prolonged fasts are only good occasionally.

^ and he's correct on the autophagy, but the stem cell regen is other benefit. Right now I'm just eating one meal every 24 hours. It's extremely easy on the carnivore diet. 1 big meal of meat and eggs, ~700-800 calories, and boom I'm gucchi till the next day.
