It looks like it'll be comfortable as hell. They kinda nailed the comfort design with PSVR1 and they take things a step further with this. There are even air vents that allow air in to keep lenses from fogging up.

Still no word on release window or backwards compatibility. I personally suspect this will not be compatible with PSVR1 software.

I'm glad they basically just copied their own headset design from PSVR1. I've played quite a bit on the Quest 2 and I've tried a few other PCVR headsets, and they all feel quite uncomfortable compared to the PSVR1 headset.

And they are saying this one is even lighter. So you're combining that better weight distribution design with less weight...this thing is gonna be fucking sweet.

I hope there are sensors inside outer parts. Otherwise these all look fragile and taking up a lot of space. Move dildo was fine.
The Quest 2 is very similar to what this one will be doing with controllers and tracking and it's a massive step up for tracking.

The Move controllers were very good at what they were originally meant for, but for VR tracking, they are quite inadequate. That'll become extremely clear if you buy PSVR2 and use it for a few minutes haha

I'm wondering if the foam/rubber parts that touch your head will be replaceable this time.

Anyone who used PSVR1 a lot knows that those things were not meant to last forever...The Quest 2 has a removeable face cover and I hope Sony copied that idea here. Let us buy replacements that are easy to install.

Very nice, especially the properly designed for VR controllers.

This and a PS5PRO and Sony will have my money.

Unless I'm mistaken the Move Dildos used the camera to track movement (or it was supplemental).

These should operate like the Switch's controllers.

At least it's smaller, that was one of my wants for PSVR2.
Now have easily replicable parts for when something breaks and not cost the same as a launch PS3, then you've got yourself a customer.

Fantastic they kept the halo design of the headset, this thing is going to be amazing. Fingers crossed this reveal points to a release date in the not too distant future!

Looks sexy as all hell in the White/Black. The placement of the wire is worrisome as it looks like it will be right on the person's ear. And wouldn't it impact wearing headphones? Wonder why they chose the 9 o'clock position instead of a 7 o'clock.

Guess we will have to wait to hear some "heads on" impressions of the visor to know if its noticeable.

God damn things gonna cost 10K by the time Biden is done with the economy....

And thanks to Truedope we probably won't even have them here in Canada. Good luck even finding a PS5 LOL...

Let's hope someone hacks it to work on PC.
I kinda arbitrarily think it'll be easier to do that than ever. They got PSVR1 working on a PC but it was not ideal because of the camera-based tracking.

It worked fine for something like Vivecraft where it just used the headsets gyro/accelerometer instead of bothering with a camera, but for actual motion stuff, from what I remember you needed the PS3 version of the camera and it was all buggy anyway.

With this one working the same way a Quest does with even the same number of sensor cameras on the headset itself, I wonder if it'll be really easy to just emulate a PCVR headset with it very early on.

I'm actually super hyped for this. I just bought Groundhog Day for the PSVR so excited to dust it off and use it. Ever since I started using glasses I started using my VR less. I do wish it was cableless but one cable will have to do.

I always wanted to try that one out. I've been playing the shit out of Song in the Smoke recently on the Quest, and it's fucking awesome. I bet it's pretty damn good on PSVR too.

In fact I could almost see myself buying the PSVR version out of curiosity for how it compares and getting the platinum lol
