That is such a cool box art design. Basically meant to flip open vertically instead of horizontally.

Japan/Asia gets all those physical copies like this and Ninja Garden Collection.

Lame ass western gaming industry is like, "fuck you only digital for you and not the GOG DRM free kind either!"

I cannot justify buying that, but God damn do I want to.

Not quite my favourite FF (I have a love/hate thing for VIII), but it is simply the best game in the whole series.

I loved VIII when it came out.

The physical Switch version comes with VII as well.

I loved how VIII set the new standard for more realistic graphics.

FF9 was such a disappointment. Terrible game.
Terrible story. Terrible writing. Terrible characters. Zero character development.

I forced myself to finish it thinking at some point something interesting would happen. But it never did.
Wasn't until the last hour or so when you learn some slightly interesting shit about Zidane but by that time I just didn't care anymore and wanted it to end.

Having said that I'm happy for anyone that wants this.

Also FF VIII was and is forever the best Final Fantasy game.

Welp.... That's like.... Your opinion, man.

I remember FFVIII getting a lot of hate and I guess it had to do with the way leveling worked or weapons and armor. I can't remember.

I never got the hate for the game. I loved how the scenery really stood out.

As mentioned above, it was the first FF to introduce realistic body proportions and it'll go down in history as what made FF more for.... eh uh mmmf..... "adults". Since then, with the exception of IX, Square never looked back.

I'd maybe be up for a remake but I'm not a fan of remakes but I'd really be excited for a VIII-2. The background lore was great.

Hell, what about it?

I loved everything about VIII except Squall and Rinoa, and their fucking awful, contrived and unrealistic romance.

Sadly that was, like, 30% of the game's major plot points.

The mechanics and laughably impenetrable complexity that meant it was hard to master but then incredibly easily to utterly break, were great IMO though. By the end of the game I was breezing through most of the toughest fights without taking anything beyond superficial damage.

I mean I love FF8 more than most people (best overall OST probably in the whole franchise and if I trusted modern SE even a little bit I'd be begging for a Laguna game) but mannnnn I think you maybe played an entirely different game and somehow misremembered it as being FF9.

eStarland.com has this and the FF7/8 double pack too for a not entirely unreasonable price.
