I was eyeballing this one for months and was planning on nabbing it at full price. But the more videos I watch and the more I see people saying 'wait for discount', I'm starting to think that this is one that's more in line with $40.

I can't put my finger on why. Love the setting and genre but there's just something missing or off. I dare say shallow and repetitive? Could just be the videos that I've seen though. There may be some depth that I'm just not seeing.

From what I've seen it has a very good combat system, but it's pretty much the same formula and the same level design over and over again without much variety.

Which is kinda fine for me, as I don't expect a very deep experience. The price should be lower though, that's for sure.

I'll be happy to pick this up if they drop the price into the 30's.

Looks like a fun game to just turn your brain off and enjoy the spectacle.

Short summary: Frame pacing issues in all the 30fps modes across the consoles. Ouch. Lighting and reflections look pretty bad. Other than that, good looking and most importantly, fun. He says it's an excellent action game.

Huh this game isn't on the Epic Store? Weird. Was searching for it because they have store wide 25% discount vouchers. Would've bought. Bummer.

Watching a streamer do a let's play it appears this game isn't much different than God of War. It is a linear story, like God of War, it has combat sequences with enemies that require specific types of maneuvers to defeat and they come in swarms, you can upgrade your perks, weapons, and move sets and has light environmental puzzles with multiple levels of trajectory movement.

I understand that the game isn't running 60fps on consoles, so that is a definite hindrance. While God of War has that AAA title polish, this game definitely took a lot of ideas from the God of War reboot and put it into a science fiction alternate Western reality.

The game looks pretty and while it isn't as fully fleshed out as God of War, it looks like a solid game with an old school arcadey action that reminds me of Bulletstorm by People Can Fly.
