Cody Connors was called out by name by Doc Disrespect in his address.
Let's review how we got here:

Anyone have a twitter account that can see what Cody Connors is doing now? Let's get that fool a microphone to see how craven Cody Connors is.
Let's review the legal hurdles Doc. Disrespect had to go through on this:
As for the message being released l, how would Doc have access to a platform he was already kicked off? The next claim will be that he cherry picked what he releases and the full context would be missing; terminally online people will fabricate a new narrative. Twitch employees have already ran their mouth, how about they release the alleged messages to shore up their claim? Doc doesn't have to do anything. Discovery has already been done on both sides, yet nothing was found to put him in handcuffs?
- User was over/at legal age of consent
- Was judged, again, by multiple independent sources as not sexting
- Never made plans or exchanged information about meeting at TwitchCon
- The user themselves said to not issue a report to Twitch's trust and safety team or law enforcement response team
- The messages were purposely taken out of context by Twitch employees, as proven in legal discovery during the arbitration
- Doc's public accusers had no actual knowledge of the chain of events that led to his ban and subsequent "cancellation", and there is strong evidence that it was targeted
Doc has them since he would have been given them during discovery.
I am betting we will see them or potentially hear from the "minor" by the end of this month
I'm sure he has what was in the investigation, but it isn't up to him to release them. Let those casting stones show what they have, unless they know it will bite them legally... something I suspect Doc is fishing for them to do.
My guess is they release exactly what he says they had. Selectively picked lines. And then he releases the entire conversation
Whether that entire conversation helps or hurts him idk
The issue is he likely needs consent from the other parties at a guess, that being the then minor and Twitch.
This whole matter. The fact that Twitch settled instead of going to Court when they have Amazons legal team in their corner has always been the over-riding bugbear with this whole thing in terms of what went down.
Hang on a second how can it not be a inappropriate message to a minor when he said it was an inappropriate message to a minor in his opening tweet response that validated all this? I don't think anyone should be taking sides in this shitstorm tbh. No one looks good here, from both sides.
Just take the L for once.

Well to be fair, he didn't.
He acknowledged "whispers" with an individual minor. And said that at times it would lean too much in the direction of inappropriate. Now that is best case obviously. This isn't a situation that he would under promise and then over deliver on.
However unlike sexting or grooming, inappropriate can mean many things. And doesn't necessarily mean sexual.
He claims this interaction is was no different than his other interactions using whispers with fans and streamers.
Of course he could be lying.
But I will say this. He has given more specifics than the 4-5 ex employees combined.
But no one combined has given any specifics as to what is in the actual messages.
And unless I am misremembering, no one has given us the information saying whether this individual was male or female. And that seems… odd
Thanks that clears it up somewhat. I think if he had a good defence i.e it was only a joke or whatever he should have said it there and then, once the NDA was broken. That being said it doesn't make what this ex Twitch employee said/did any better either, especially the part about sexting/and wanting to meet up (if untrue). I'll just stick with my original comment here, that no side looks particularly good IMO. Both sides trying to play on the public for different agendas. If there is a case of litigation or criminal practice then let it go to the courts quietly. We can't possibly fairly take a side with what information we know at the moment.
Welcome to June 2024, I'm glad you're finally caught up.
Basically
What brought this up originally was blow back because of what nick mercs said about trans people. That was always a huge red flag.
As was twitch paying doc with after they banned him
But Doc being coy about what is in the messages is as well.
Been interesting to follow this story tho
Although the Ex-Twitch Employee has thrown shade, that doesn't invalidate the NDA, and so Doc is still bound legally by what he can and cannot say regarding the exact details. What we can surmise from the fact that Twitch settled is that when it went to the lawyers they knew they were on a hiding to nothing if it went to Court which would have not only been embarrassing for Twitch's brand, esp if it came out that the whole thing was essentially an orchestrated witchhunt by a bunch of activist members of staff determined to get Doc off the Platform.
I would imagine any sign-off over the full details would require the consent of both Twitch and the person the DMs were made to. I certainly doubt Twitch want that, and I expect the other person in question doesn't want that kind of attention either.
I anticipate Twitch will have to make a further settlement given the reputational damage Doc has incurred and might well be forced to issue a public statement vindicating him of any wrongdoing, but I would honestly be shocked if the actual DMs themselves come to light, short of a Twitch leak.
Also Dr Disrespect got remonetized on YouTube
Not a surprise about Midnight Society.
Surprised about YouTube, but maybe the lawyers have been working behind the scene. Definitely points to the whole thing probably being a nothing burger.
If something had happened he would have been arrested. He wasn't. Twitch blue-hairs hated him and were looking for any opportunity to turn people against him. They tried to dig a done case up and pretend it was something it wasn't. It was more effective than most other attempts to cancel the doc to be fair. You'll notice though that the ex-twitch mod who tried his luck hasn't been heard from since he started this. Other than trying to promote his dogshit band's live performances.
I do wonder if there will be a further settlement from Twitch, given their employee broke their Non-Disclosure agreement and has caused Doc a notable Material loss.
