Howls Moving Castle (2004)
LmpwZw

happy feeling kids movie vs a japanese movie about solving a murder.

All is fair and balanced in this world I see.

but on a serious note you can say whatever derogatory thing about being a weeb but the kpop fans take all that to a whole different level of cringe. The music sucks and the fans are way worse than any anime fan I've ever seen.

I haven't seen Memories of Murder, but I do like the films from Bong Joon Ho that I have seen (The Host, Mother, Snowpiercer, Okja & Parasite) so I have to assume its pretty good. Its not my list to watch now.

I have scene Howl many times and I do enjoy it. I do however think the last act of the film is super messy. But parts of it are beautifully animated and the overall premise is good. Its not my favorite Studio Ghibli, but its up there and the first one I saw in theaters.

So I think my vote here would be ignorant to the facts. Unless I end up watching MoM tonight I probably shouldn't vote on this one.

There has been quite a few Korean movies in this series, I think they have all been violent ones though. I have seen a few Korean movies, ranging from Drama to War movies. They are usually an interesting watch, with the actors really making their presence known. In terms of Memories of Murder, it is a bit too dark for my tastes.

Howls Moving Castle is similar to other Studio Ghibli movies, where is it bright and colourful, has an interesting story and relatively well developed characters. In terms of Studio Ghibli movies, I think When Marnie was There and Ponyo are my favourites, which would then be followed by Howls Moving Castle. Spirited Away and My Neighbour Totoro are good movies but there aren't my favourite Ghibli movies.
