Welcome to the 21st vote in the 1st Round of the DPAD Movie Face/Off series! 🤗

In this competition, DPAD members vote through polls for their favourite movie out of a series of films selected, and the most popular one goes on to the next round. If a tie occurs, there is a one on one face/off specifically to determine the winner, and that winner moves on to the next round. You can change your vote if you want to before the 48 hour deadline, after which the results will be recorded and I'll post the winner/tied winners.

Here are the 6 movies to choose between this time:

The Innkeepers (2011)

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986)

Between Million Dollar Baby and Star Trek for me. I'll go with Star Trek. Love the original 6 movies

The Voyage Home is the 2nd best of the TOS Star Trek movies. The Wrath of Khan being the first. Still, it's a fun movie that delivers on the comedy. It has my vote here.

Haven't seen the others except for Willow. Okay movie. But nothing really special. Sad that Disney has fucked it up with the new Disney+ show.

I really love Central Intelligence as a movie but Star Trek 4 has been one of my favourites for much longer.

What did you like about it? I haven't watched too many sporty movies but this one seems to have an interesting premise.
It's a very good boxing movie, very conservative and realistic like all Clint films. But it's a bit oscar baity.

I liked almost everything about it. It is a great reflection of human nature at multiple points in the film. The story is great, and I love endings that are not your typical unicorn flying over the rainbow endings.

Star Trek IV and Willow are both tied at 3! It looks like there will have to be a one on one battle between them to be able to move on to the next Round.

Due to it being Christmas this weekend, I think that I'll have the 1 on 1 showdown on Tuesday, before the Wednesday face/off for vote 24.

I, uh, saw the thread before but forgot to vote. 😬

Put me down for Star Trek IV if you can though.

I'll try and @ you next week when I do the 1 v 1 match up. Because it's Christmas it'll be on Tuesday instead of Monday.
