Do women really care when their significant other or a man they're dating watches porn? I never thought it was an issue, but thinking back to a past relationship, and also things I've read, it seems that some women actually take it as a serious offense and a major problem in a relationship.

What do you think? I guess if a woman is insecure or has an anxious attachment style, I could see it becoming an issue, but it literally never would have even crossed my mind as being something a woman would care about until it was brought to my attention that some do.

I'm sure some care, but I imagine most don't. My wife doesn't give a shit, that's for sure. If we're in bed and she wants to talk I know when she gets to the point where she's going to swipe my phone so sometimes I'll just open up hardcore porn and let her take it. Doesn't phase her at all.

Yes they care. If you decide to watch together, which arguably most women are not a fan of, it might be different. But generally, they do not like it when their boyfriend/husband/partner watches porn.

Women crave attention more than anything. Any attention you're giving to porn is attention you're not giving to her. Aside from that, they generally get the sense that they are not enough to satisfy you in your relationship if you get off on porn, which makes them insecure, which makes them see it as an issue.

My wife says she doesn't care but I'm not into porn that much. I prefer seeing photos of pretty women. She doesn't care either.

Wow, you guys are with some insecure women. Legitimately shocked at the poll results so far.

I've answered "some" because a couple of exes had an issue with it, but otherwise the other women I've been with couldn't give a damn. I mean, it was more than watching it together, often I would come home from a long shift and walk in on them masturbating to my porn collection, or it was the last thing they watched on the computer before bed.

I only read h-doujins, and if any woman is jealous of some cartoon characters, she better wisen up soon or lose access to my d.

I think the vast majority would definitely care.
For anyone starting a new relationship I would be wary of mentioning it at all no matter how cool she claims to be with it.
"Nah, I am not into porn" is a white lie that can just cut out the entire conversation. Of course you might watch it from time to time but does she really need to know?
Once you are in a serious relationship you probably won't be inclined to watch so much and once you are living together even the opportunity to watch could be significantly reduced.

If I ever met a chick who claimed to be completely OK with it or was even encouraging it then I'd probably still try to play it off like I am not really that bothered about watching it. Just seems like something that could bite you on the ass down the line.

I don't really know why you would want to watch it after you are in a relationship anyway. If she isn't meeting your needs just try and resolve the situation or move on. Just think what would Ascend do (when he's not on a bad day) and your lady will be all over you anyway.

yeah, if you've ever watched a wife get angry at the men watching a sports game or playing a videogame on the TV, it's not a difficult question to answer.

Fundamentally it's about a man being happy without her "giving" him that happiness which is a genuine existential crisis for the average modern woman.

Nah. They might care about the content of it but most chicks I've been with enjoy it too. My wife and I will watch together from time to time.

I'm sure there are those prudes out there. Just stay away from them as they're probably less exciting in bed.

This post needs more attention, since it's very very wise.
