Developer White Rabbit has announced Death’s Gambit: Afterlife for Switch and “additional platforms” (via the game’s Discord channel). It will launch in 2021.

Death’s Gambit: Afterlife will include six new bosses, 10 new levels, a revamped world and systems, 22 new weapons, 100 Talents, Metroidvania upgrades, multiple endings, crafting, and a world map.

At this time it is unclear if this expansion will come to the game’s original release on PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam).

Did anyone play this? I always thought the visual style looked awesome but I don't remember a lot of overly positive impressions about it when it first came out.

I think it came out around the same time as Dead Cells, and people seemed to vastly prefer that.

Yeah, it is rather crap. I was waiting for it for a long time, but even a year after its release, it was too difficult, too imbalanced and the controls were far from great. I gave up on it after a couple of hours. Pity, as the style is rather good.
