First match in premier and we fucking tied. Come on bruh…. Not like this

Let me know when their anti-cheat tech has been run through the ringer and come out smelling like roses.

Some people have been getting banned mid match for cheating and match is ended. Still not as good as riots yet but it's getting better and not a root kit

Looks like a f2p horror show. All those confusing menus. Bumped visuals to 2013 levels are nice but game don't feel smooth.

funny how premier mode is now the de facto ranked mode. Ranked No one talks lol.

Game still needs some work on their sub tick system but supposedly it's been improving rapidly. When it's working properly game feels better than GO. When it's not shit feels off.

So far my favorite Source 2 map is Ancient. The water looks so damn good. I have yet to play Vertigo, Overpass or Nuke but hopefully the pussies in premier stop banning them and I get to play them today.

I know everyone shits on the visual for being dated but they want the game to run on a toaster. They are doing a lot of weird magic to make the game look modern without tanking performance.

Everybody is going to turn down settings to low anyway for 300+ fps if you want to play competitive

I played one competitive game and to me it feels almost identical to GO, but I am a casual player so others probably see a ton of differences.

It's because it is.

The game got a few graphical updates to feel less ancient, and a higher server tick rate iirc.

And that's about it really.

And the new gameplay mechanics from the smoke grenades

I also like smoking my whole team with a miscalculated smoke grenade while the opposing team smoke them with bullets.

Smoke grenades in cs2 will combine perfect with the flash bang users from ca go.

I believe spray patterns are a bit different on some weapons and I know for a fact some guns have been nerfed/buffed.

The new smoke grenade is a amazing but overall they are not trying to reinvent the wheel. The game is loved by millions and they are trying to keep the majority of the players happy while refreshing the game and building new infrastructure.

Personally I am still not sold on the sub tick architecture but I trust Valve knows what it is doing. Sounds like they have massive improvements from the start of the beta.

From what I've seen, everyone playing the game on a decently modern pc is already getting that, or more.

Depends on your CPU. I can hit it at 4K with my 3900x/3080 but the framerate can jump around.

Most competitive players that take this game super serious are going to have systems that equal or dwarf that, and prob play on 1080p/1440p

So basically, classic pre-industrial-takeover game design. Put in work to make your game look great on hardware most people have, rather than the modern approach of "aim for whatever the current generation console is".

Interesting thing to note. I played the first few days with no issues. I then updated my gpu driver(amd) and my cpu is now overheating every time I play. I rolled back the driver and same thing.

I haven't done much testing so it could just be my cpu shitting the bed or this game and my cpu don't work well.

I'll report back after more testing but I know others are having issues. Mostly AMD shader cache issues.

Played a match of Deathmatch and it was unplayable for me as the framerate drops are way too variable everytime someone spawns. Might be time for a new CPU

Just had an incredible gaming session in CS2. The random lobbies in ranked had me rolling. Nights like these remind me why I love playing competitive shooters…next session I will probably want to end it all… the duality of man.

Not sure what was up with my cpu issue. Probably just needed to reapply some thermal paste as it was well past time. Instead I finally added a liquid cooler and game is running smooth as butter
