Thread: Changing name and avatar is annoying
Avatar changes are annoying, but I kinda understand it. I kept mine for many, many years. It was kinda unique and there wasn't anything I could really replace it with, or improve upon it. Then, AI came along and I was able to create a more bad ass version. But that's it. Oh of course, I did some themed ones, adding to the existing avatar, but not changing it.

In general, name and avatar are pretty much all we have to identify ourselves. It's what I associate with you. There's emotional weight and personality behind that. Name changes always make me very sad.

If the avatar is close enough to the old one it can work. Name changes are worse, but both are bloody annoying.

I alter the orange for some holidays, but that is as far as I'll go. Please, shower me with praise. My self esteem is directly tied to what D-Pad thinks of me.

So what's the consensus on Grisham's name change?

Is Théoden King an upgrade or downgrade?

How will the community refer to him from now on?

Will it still be Grisham? Or Théoden King? or Théoden? or King? or even TK? 🤷‍♂️

I feel you need to do one or the other. I'd rather users change avatars than names. Easier for me to get acclimated to who's who.
