So I just finished writing an article about this and saw that no thread had been created about this topic, so I'll do just that.

In short: Sony censorship is at it again and forced developer Team Salvato to change the color of blood from red to black in one scene of the game. Xbox and Switch versions have regular red blood, no issues, because the game was rated M by the ESRB anyway. Which really opens up a whole new can of worms, because it begs the question: WHY

Here's my detailed thoughts on the matter:

Tbh, I'm kinda glad this happened, because it creates more opposition against Sony's censorship bs. Hopefully, the turning point is reached sooner rather than later.

Funny how the woke are as puritans as the 80's conservatives were.
Most of those 80s conservatives were actually liberals. Tipper Gore (wife of VP Al Gore) was the one leading most of the censorship efforts.

This particular bit of censorship is baffling. It's not like they don't show regular blood in every other game.

Beyond that, how does this game even translate to console play, given some of what the game entails. Doesn't it sort of need to run on a PC for some of the plot points?

I remember reading about Tipper Gore, true.

I didn't play the game on PC but I picked it up on Switch and noticed that choosing the Quit Game option on the title menu sends you to some kind of mock PC desktop screen. Haven't played it too much yet as I was trying to finish BD2 first.

It almost feels like they’re trying to harass these developers so much, they quit making that type of game, as a way to get around the blowback of outright banning them. I know what that sounds like, but I’m at a loss to explain blood being censored.

Another possibility is a vindictive team handling this stuff at Sony. Possibly woke influenced.

Thankfully the switch is successful and good for these types of games
